A powerbait and a standard lure embodiment are disclosed, wherein all embodiments can enable the hook to be several inches away from the bait. The systems have a sleeve substantially housing a plunger assembly and a biasing member, and an activation member assembly with a rotatable finger. The biasing member applies force between the plunger assembly engages and the activation member assembly when the system is engaged. A fish hook is attached via fishing lines to both the activation member assembly and the plunger assembly. Pulling the hook releases the plunger assembly from the activation member assembly and pulls the line attached to the plunger assembly, setting the hook in the fish's mouth.

摘要： The present invention provides a simple, yet improved, spring-loaded fishing hook and bobber. The bobber includes a spring-loaded triggering apparatus attached to a light weight rod and floating device. The triggering apparatus is inertia-driven and activated when a fish swimming by attempts to bite on the lure. The fish activates the device by its movement away from the lure and pulls the spring free from its latch allowing the spring to activate and forces the hook into the fish's mouth. The quickness of the trigger does not allow the fish to avoid the hook and the forcefulness of the trigger means less fish can free themselves of the hook before being caught.

摘要： A hook-setting device, including a flange that is fixed and generally transverse to a fishing line or leader, is adapted to resist the force of a fish strike on a hook or fly and to also indicate a strike by its movement in the water. The flange preferably floats at or near the top of the water, in a partially-submerged position, with a generally concave front surface facing the hook or fly. The front surface forms an open cup-shape that partially or completely fills with water, thereby providing resistance to the flange being pulled through the water and thereby setting the hook/fly in the fish's mouth. The preferred flange also features a generally convex rear surface facing away from the hook or fly, which rear surface is the leading surface during fly-casting, reducing air resistance during the cast and contributing to proper laying-out of the fly at the end of the cast. The preferred flange is fixed to the line or leader so that it does not move relative to the line/leader during casting, lay-out, fish strike, or at any time during use. A float may be attached to the flange, to increase buoyancy of the device; preferably, the float is coaxial with the flange and fixed to the rear surface of the flange so that there is no movement of the float relative to the flange or to the line/leader. Preferably, there is no structure between the flange front surface and the fly or hook, especially no structure that resides in, or slides into or out of the generally concave interior space of the flange, that would interfere with the interior space immediately filling with water upon lay-out and immediately providing resistance to a fish strike.

摘要： A fishing device includes a casing and a main spring positioned therein. A trigger spring is also positioned in the housing and a plate is interconnected to adjacent ends of the two springs. The device includes a primary latch operatively coupled to the casing and movable between a normally restricting configuration that normally holds the main spring in a compressed configuration and a releasing configuration. A latch release member is coupled to the trigger spring and the primary latch for moving the primary latch to the releasing configuration when the trigger spring is extended, say by the strike of a fish on a line coupled thereto. At the releasing configuration, the primary latch allows the main spring to decompress and this action sets a hook in a fish. When extended, the main spring absorbs shocks caused by a fish's movements while being reeled in.

摘要： A fishing device 1, for automatically hooking a fish, has a spring 23 that can be tautened and held in a taut condition by a blocking device 37. An end of the spring 23 is coupled to a hook 27 behind which a fishing line, coming from a fishing rod, can be hooked. The fishing line also runs over a sensor 47. If a fish bites the fishing line is pulled taut and the sensor 47 lifts the blocking of the spring 23. Thus the spring 23 loosens, and the hook 27 gives a pull to the fishing line and the fish is hooked. During the hooking the fishing line is held in place by a clamping device 53, and after the fish is hooked the fishing line is released. Thus the reel of the fishing rod can continually stay in the slip position to prevent the fishing rod from being pulled into the water by the fish, to facilitate quick catching of the fish without first having to remove the reel from the blocking position.
