摘要： A key ring is capable of removing a crown cap from a bottle. The crown cap has a rim and a top. The key ring can adroit and retain keys and comprises a closed loop including a first portion having a pair of elongated arms that extend in the same general direction (Y) and are spaced apart in an orthogonal direction (X) by a distance of 10 to 40 mm. The bottle can be opened by locating one of the arms under the rim of a crown cap while the other of the arms is located on the top of the crown cap and the key ring is twisted in the direction of arrow A, The length of the loop in the direction (Y) is at least 20 mm so that the loop includes a second portion that extends laterally beyond the crown cap by a distance that allows the key ring to be engaged by the user to twist the key ring and lever the cap off the bottle. A key on the key ring and/or an extension of the key ring loop in the X direction can assist in levering the cap off the bottle.

When the present invention is engaged with the key ring, the key ring can easily be pried open for inserting and/or removing a key. The present invention is of simple construction and is adapted for use with a conventional loop-shaped key ring. It will not break the fingernail or hurt the fingers of a user. It does not require any external aids to pry open the resiliently urged turns of the key ring, thereby making it effort-saving and convenient to insert and/or remove a key. Further, a user does not need to take out other keys when a particular key is to be removed, thereby reducing the chance of losing keys and making the process of removing a key fast and convenient.

摘要： A tool is used to split the coils of a key ring so that the key ring can be easily and efficiently placed on a key or other object. In one embodiment the invention includes a pair of guides, such as ribs or slots, incorporated into the bridge of the key ring grip. One rib or slot assists in getting the key ring onto the key and the other rib or slot assists in removing the key ring from the key. Alternatively, the tool could be separate from the key ring bridge and take the form of a plate having a pair of cut-out sections on opposite sides thereof. One cut-out has a sharp leading edge on the top of the plate and the other has a sharp leading edge on the bottom of the plate. A semicircular handle is attached to one side of the plate and assists it further by widening the gap between the coils so that a key can be threaded onto the free end of the key ring.

A split ring held snugly within the holding chamber. The tool tips are forced between the split ring coils, which are separated further by simultaneous rotation of the prying tool handles 90-degrees in opposite clock directions. A pellet placed inside folded bag material forms a bump. The material with bump is placed between the separated coils into the split ring interior. Reverse 90-degree handle rotation partly closes the coils around the bump. Withdrawing the prying tools completely allows the coils to fully close, capturing the pellet-containing material. Tool stops prevent the tool tips from entering the split ring interior too far into or away from the clip holding chamber. Suspension of the tool and bags facilitates production.

摘要： A key ring opener for spreading apart the adjacent end and intermediate portions of a split key ring that are spring-urged against each but are spreadable to allow a key to be placed on or taken off the ring. The opener includes an annular band having sharp circumferential wedging edges and is adapted to encircle such a key ring in the same way as a key, and along with keys on the ring, and a wedging bar extending diametrically of the band and having sharp wedging edges. The opener is slipped on and off the key ring like a key but is easier to do because of the sharp circumferential edges. While on the key ring, the bar can be wedged, again because of its sharp edges, between adjacent segments of the ring, ahead of a key, thereby to spread the segments apart. Thereafter, the band is rolled between the thumb and forefinger causing the bar to leverage the segments of the key ring farther apart thereby to facilitate entry and removal of a key to and from the ring. In addition to being small and lightweight, another valuable feature is that the opener will not come off the ring while the opener is facilitating key entry and removal although it can easily be removed if desired.
