Abstract:
A garment or accessory includes a fabric portion including an opening and a zipper arrangement to selectively close the opening. The zipper arrangement includes a first toothed portion fixedly coupled to the fabric portion along the at least one opening, and a second toothed portion fixedly coupled to the fabric portion along the opening. The zipper arrangement also includes two sliders. Each slider is slidably received on each of the first toothed portion and the second toothed portion so as to selectively engage the first toothed portion with the second toothed portion and disengage the first toothed portion from the second toothed portion. The zipper arrangement also includes at least one stop formed by the first toothed portion and the second toothed portion such that the first toothed portion is non-releasably engaged with the second toothed portion at the at least one stop.
Abstract:
A child resistant zipper closure for a plastic bag includes a double slider, including a first slider and second slider. The first and second sliders are oriented on the zipper closure such that when at least one of the first slider and second slider is moving in a direction toward the other of the first slider and second slider, the zipper is interlocking; and when at least one of the first slider and second slider is moving in a direction away from the other of the first slider and second slider, the zipper is unlocking. The first and second sliders can be releasably connected together.
Abstract:
A slide fastener in which one of the fastener stringers is separable from a tape insertion path at one side of a body of each of sliders in the width direction when a lateral pulling force directed outward in the width direction of the fastener tapes is applied to a pair of fastener stringers. The rear ends of the upper and lower flanges at the one side of the body of the upper slider in the width direction are positioned forward with respect to the rear end of the upper slider at a side of a rear mouth. It is therefore possible to prevent fastener elements from being damaged and easily separate one of the fastener stringers from the upper slider using a simple structure.
Abstract:
A separable bottom end stop in which a box pin has a box pin body, a first notch portion for receiving the head end of a locking pawl of a reverse-opening slider, and a protrusion piece projecting toward a separable pin in the direction of the tape width from a separable pin facing surface opposed to the separable pin. A side wall surface of the first notch portion and that sectional surface of the protrusion piece which is provided to the front end side of the box pin are formed in one plane to constitute a locking plane with which the front end of the locking pawl makes contact to lock the reverse-opening slider. The box pin body and the protrusion piece have a slant surface declined from the position of the locking plane toward an element row.
Abstract:
A wearable garment includes a multi-slider zipper with a top stop at each end of the zipper. The multi-slider zipper extends around the periphery of the garment from one armpit to the second armpit to enable the top surface of the garment to be separated at least partially from the second portion of said garment. The unique zipper may include three or more sliders as well as a top stop at each end of the zipper. A sleeping bag also having a top and bottom fabric portion includes the multi-slider zipper having at least three sliders.
Abstract:
A slide fastener according to the invention includes a left-and-right pair of first and second fastener stringers, a box pin provided on the first fastener stringer, an insert pin provided on the second fastener stringer, and a pair of first and second sliders. The box pin has a box pin body, a stopper portion, and a ridge portion formed on the box pin body. Further, a chamfered portion is formed on an inner surface of at least one of the upper and lower wing plates of the first slider. The ridge portion is arranged at a position in close contact with the chamfered portion of the first slider when the first slider is stopped at the stopper portion. With this arrangement, it becomes possible to cause the user to be accustomed to securely slide the first slider to the normal insert-pin inserting position.
Abstract:
In slide fasteners (10, 40, 50), separable pins (31, 51) have projecting portions (31b, 51b) projecting toward box pins (32, 32′, 52), and the difference between the interval A between the inner surfaces of right and left flange portions (24) at the rear ends of sliders (21a, 21b) and the maximum value B of dimension of the separable pins (31, 51) in the tape width direction (interval A−maximum value B) is set to satisfy the relation “(dimension C of a portion of the box pin (32, 32′, 52) in the tape width direction corresponding to a portion of the separable pin (31, 51) having the maximum value B) (length of one pitch of the fastener elements (15) of the element row (13))×3−(dimension of a coupling head (15a) of the tape length direction)×3”. Since the right and left element rows (13) are not coupled intentionally even if the slider (21a) is slid under a state where the separable pins (31, 51) are inserted insufficiently, fall in coupling strength or weakening in coupling strength against a thrust up force caused by incorrect coupling of the right and left element rows can be prevented surely.
Abstract:
A plug pin of a zipper has a plug pin body. The plug pin body has a first long side and a second long side. The first long side and the second long side are located on two opposite sides of the plug pin body. In the plug pin body, there is a first joint trough. On the first long side, there is a first concave trough. By utilizing the first concave trough, the extruded and protruded effect when the plug pin is fastened onto the zipper belt can be cancelled so that the plug can be plugged and lifted smoothly. A position pin and a plug pin set of a zipper are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A SLIDE FASTENER IS PROVIDED WITH TWO SLIDE MEMBERS WHICH CAN ENGAGE EACH OTHER WITH UNSYMMETRICAL NOTCHES FORMED IN THEIR ENDS WHILE ONE ROW OF CLOSURE MEMBERS OF A ZIPPER IS BEING INTRODUCED THEREIN. THE UNSYMMETRICAL NOTCHES ARE FORMED FROM AT LEAST ONE TOOTH AND AT LEAST ONE ASSOCIATED COMPLEMENTAL TOOTH GAP, BOTH AS SEEN IN TOP PLAN VIEW, SO THAT THE UNSYMMETRICAL NOTCH OF ONE SLIDE FITS INTO THE UNSYMMETRICAL NOTCH OF THE OTHER SLIDE
FOR PURPOSES OF MAINTAINING ALIGNMENT. AN ADDITIONAL NOTCH MAY BE PROVIDED IN EACH SLIDE, AS VIEWED IN SIDEVIEW, FOR FURTHER ALIGNING THE TWO SLIDES.
