A male member and a female member are configured to sandwich opposing side edge portions of a pair of fastener tapes from both sides thereof in an upward and downward direction. 摘要： A slide fastener chain includes a first tape and a second tape. A row of coupling elements is fixed along an inner edge of the first tape. A row of coupling elements is fixed along an inner edge of the second tape. The coupling elements of the first and second tapes being arranged such that the coupling elements of the first tape interdigitate with coupling elements of the second tape so as to secure the first and second tapes together. A stopper includes a body portion and an extension portion extending from the body portion. First and second halves of the stopper straddle a pair of waterproof tapes and are integrally connected to each other through second through-holes. According to the waterproof slide fastener, a manufacturing step thereof can be simplified, and it is possible to effectively prevent water from entering the waterproof slide fastener even if it receives a lateral pulling force.

This allows the escape portion of the insert pin to function as an interference prevention means, efficiently prevent chain failure in an element row when the slide fastener is bent into a U-shape, and maintain stable engaging.

In some versions, the top stop has a gap that is configured to snuggly receive a connecting neck of the slider body in such a way that water is prevented from penetrating the slider body. In some embodiments, the top stop includes two extensions, at least one of which has one or more sliding surfaces that are configured so that the slider assembly produces an audible noise when the connecting neck is snuggly received within the gap and the assembly is in the locked position.
