The beverage cap includes a plurality of protrusions that are discontinuous and distributed through the cavity of the cap so as to improve filter support and distribute pressure more uniformly through the cavity and along the filter, thereby allowing use of thin paper filters and avoiding tearing or blow out. The beverage cap can include a removable valve insert that includes a valve body supporting a movable vale and one or more support members that further support the filter at a central valve region, further reinforcing the filter to avoid blow out of paper filters. The beverage cap and beverage cap are suited for pressing of tea or coffee beverages, especially espresso.

The device includes a base having a bowl, a first neck communicatively connected to the bowl, and a second neck communicatively connected to the bowl; a brewing vessel communicatively connected to the first neck; and a siphon element communicatively connected to the second neck. Operating the siphon element results in a reduced pressure within the bowl. When the brewing vessel is full of a first volume of water, the reduced pressure within the bowl results in the volume of water flowing from the brewing vessel into the bowl. A second volume of water may be added to a jacket of the brewing vessel to change the temperature of the first volume of water.

摘要： Provided is a brewing device which is portable and does not require the use of electricity, as well as a method of brewing using the portable brewing device. The device includes an outer cylinder and an inner cylinder that function together like a piston in a cylinder. The inner cylinder includes a filter for holding brewing solids at one end. The inner cylinder is dimensioned to slide within the outer cylinder and create a water tight frictional fit with the outer cylinder. Thus, when the inner cylinder is pushed into the outer cylinder filled with liquid, the liquid is force to pass through the filter and into the inner cylinder as brewed liquid.
