摘要： The flexible press fits onto: the rim of standard sized cans for the purpose of compressing the contents of canned food and forcibly evacuating liquids from the solid food. The device comprises; a flexible center section, an oblique band molded such that it is held in place by a friction fit on the outer edge of the can; and an opening radially-located on the flexible center section of the device, designed so that when the device is affixed onto a can and the center section is then depressed against the can's severed lid, the liquid is forced out of the can in a controlled manner and discriminately directed thru the opening in the device without contact to the user's body or clothing. As the press is removed, the compressed suction cup draws the severed lid away from the solid food and removes it from the can.

摘要： A canned food pressing device including a cylindrical member having an upper end, a lower end, and a cylindrical side wall therebetween. The cylindrical member has an external diameter slightly less than the internal diameter of a can of tuna fish. The lower end is positionable on the separable lid once separated from the can to facilitate an inward pushing of the lid against the tuna fish. A cylindrical flange member is secured to the cylindrical side wall of the cylindrical member intermediate the upper and lower ends thereof. The cylindrical flange member extends outwardly beyond the external diameter of the cylindrical member to provide a shield for the water and oil drained from the tuna fish.

The device further includes a second member having a concave part and a convex part, the second member pivotally secured to the first member at a fulcrum point passing through the slot of the first member and passing through a region of transition within the second member between the concave and convex parts thereof, the convex part including, at a free end, elements for locking within the aperture of the free end of the convex part at selectable distances between the respective free ends of the respective parts of the first and second members. The device yet further includes a can base element integrally dependent from a free end of the concave part of the second member of the device, the base element disposed oppositely to the lid engagement element.

摘要： A canned material compressing and liquid extracting device includes a pair of elongated lower and upper handles and a hinge pivotally attaching adjacent respective one ends of the handles together permitting the handles to be moved toward and away from each other between a closed position and an opened position. The device also includes a land portion mounted on the lower handle for seating a container which has an open top end and encloses a material to be compressed and a piston member pivotally mounted to the upper handle for insertion into the open top end of the container so as to overlie a severed lid of the container for applying a force on the severed lid sufficient to compress the material in the container and extract liquid therefrom as the upper and lower handles are moved relative to one another from the opened position toward the closed position. The device further includes a linkage extending between and connected with the piston member and the one end of the lower handle to cause pivoting of piston relative to the upper handle in a direction opposite to the direction of pivoting of the upper handle relative to the lower handle as the handles are moved toward and away from one another so as to maintain the piston in a predetermined alignment with the container for facilitating uniform compressing of the material in the container.

摘要： A method and apparatus for removing grease from meat includes a mesh basket for holding the partially cooked meat, a pressure plate for exerting a sustained force on the meat within the mesh basket, one or more spacers for placing on top of the pressure plate, a container for holding the mesh basket with the one or more spacers partially extending beyond an opening in the container and a lid that can be pressed onto the container, sealing the opening and placing sustained force on the spacers, thereby placing sustained force on the pressure plate, thereby compressing the partially cooked meat and extracting grease and excess liquids from the meat through the mesh basket and into the bottom of the container. A handle is provided to hold the container so as to pour out the grease and excess liquids through a flow conducting member, perhaps a spout.
