    摘要: An improved cleaning head for a vacuum assembly. The cleaning head has a body with a bottom surface. Within the cleaning head is at least one suction channel that leads into a vacuum cleaner. A first rotating brush is mounted to the body of the cleaning head in front of a suction channel. A towelette support is mounted within the body adjacent the first rotating brush. The towelette support is configured to receive a disposable towelette. A second rotating brush may also be provided, wherein the towelette support would be interposed between the first and second rotating brushes. A mechanism is provided for selectively moving the towelette support within the body between an extended position and a retracted position.

    摘要: A floor care appliance is provided for cleaning bare surfaces such as tile, marble, linoleum and wood. The floor care appliance is comprised of a base portion having a suction nozzle and a brush block having a plurality of vertical axis rotary agitators for cleaning bare floors. The rotary agitators are driven by an independent motor for agitating the floor surface. With the addition of an accessory hose and tools, the cleaning utility can be expanded to areas wherein the suction nozzle cannot normally reach such as behind the toilet, shower walls, and the grout between tile. While used in the capacity for cleaning bare floors, the floor care appliance can be moved between three modes by a rotating a member located on the upper housing. The first mode is dry mode, the second mode is wet scrub mode and the third mode is wet pickup mode. The accessory tools are stored in an accessory caddy that is placed freestanding over the suction nozzle and in front of the housing.

The base includes a housing, a nozzle defining an inlet of the vacuum cleaner, and a lift assembly including a guide member configured to support the base on a surface. The vacuum further includes a height adjustment mechanism including a knob and a ramp. The knob is operable to rotate the ramp with respect to the housing, and the lift assembly is coupled to the ramp such that the lift assembly moves along the ramp to move the inlet from the lower position to the upper position in response to rotation of the ramp by the knob. The ramp includes a first end that defines a lower position of the inlet and a second end that defines an upper position of the inlet, and the ramp has a continuous incline from the first end to the second end.

    摘要: A vacuum cleaner comprises an elongate upright body 11 pivotally connected to a floor-engaging foot 10 comprising a motor and fan unit 17 for creating an airflow through the cleaner, the airflow extending between respective ducts 32, 18 in the body 11 and the foot 10 along a neck 20, which is rotatably connected at its lower end to the duct 18 in the foot 10 for rotation about an axis A which extends transversely of the foot 10. The neck 20 acts to support the body 11 on the foot 10 and acts as the point about which relative pivotal movement of the body 10 and foot 11 occurs. An arm 40 is coupled to the neck 20 for actuating a mechanism, which lifts the foot 10 away from the floor surface when the body 10 is in the upright position, so as to prevent the rotating agitator brush 16 in the foot 10 from damaging the floor surface while the cleaner is stood in the upright position when performing above-floor cleaning.

The autonomous floor-cleaning robot also includes a side brush assembly mounted in combination with the chassis and powered by the motive subsystem to entrain particulates outside the periphery of the housing infrastructure and to direct such particulates towards the self-adjusting cleaning head subsystem.

The removable bin receives particulates directed thereto by the first and second rotating members and the particulates pass from the first rotating member to the removable bin without passing through a filter.
