摘要: A robot cleaner and a method for controlling the same are disclosed, which perform efficient cleaning by controlling a suction force or traveling route of the robot cleaner. The robot cleaner detects load applied to wheels of the robot cleaner so as to increase reliability and accuracy in floor state decision, thereby recognizing a floor state. The robot cleaner recognizes a floor state by combining load applied to wheels of the robot cleaner, load applied to brushes, and acceleration information of the robot cleaner with one another in a complementary manner, thereby increasing accuracy in floor state decision. The robot cleaner includes a traveling portion configured to include a traveling wheel to move a main body, and a wheel motor to provide the traveling wheel with drive power, a cleaning portion configured to include a brush module formed at a lower part of the main body to scatter dust or foreign substances accumulated on a floor on which the main body travels, and a suction module to suction the scattered dust or foreign substances, and a controller configured to determine a state of the floor, and control a suction force of the suction module and a traveling route of the main body according to the determined floor state.

摘要: The present application discloses a system for dispatching cleaning robots. The system includes an input subsystem configured to provide an input signal including information about foot traffic in a time period in an area. The system includes a processing subsystem to receive and process the input signal and further to determine a cleaning task under an operation scheme and generate a control signal for the cleaning task. Further the system includes a communication subsystem configured to receive the control signal from the processing subsystem and one or more first signals respectively from the one or more cleaning robots. The communication subsystem sends the control signal based on the one or more first signals to dispatch at least one cleaning robot to the area to perform the cleaning task and receives one second signal from the cleaning robot to update the operation scheme.

摘要: An automatic cleaning system is configured by a single controlling apparatus, and a plurality of self-traveling cleaners. When the controlling apparatus has received from a self-traveling cleaner a dust location signal containing a dust location detected by the self-traveling cleaner, it writes the received information into a storage unit. When the controlling apparatus has received from one of the plurality of self-traveling cleaners, with respect to dust which is not removed by any self-traveling cleaner, a signal requesting a reservation of removing the dust, the controlling apparatus will not accept from any other of the plurality of self-traveling cleaners a signal requesting a reservation of removing the dust, until receiving from the one self-traveling cleaner information indicating that removing of the dust has been completed or information indicating that the removing of the dust has been stopped.

摘要: A power-saving robot system includes at least one peripheral device and a mobile robot. The peripheral device includes a controller having an active mode and a hibernation mode, and a wireless communication component capable of activation in the hibernation mode. A controller of the robot has an activating routine that communicates with and temporarily activates the peripheral device, via wireless communication, from the hibernation mode. In another aspect a robot system includes a network data bridge and a mobile robot. The network data bridge includes a broadband network interface, a wireless command interface, and a data bridge component. The data bridge component extracts serial commands received via the broadband network interface from an internet protocol, applies a command protocol thereto, and broadcasts the serial commands via the wireless interface. The mobile robot includes a wireless command communication component that receives the serial commands transmitted from the network data bridge.

摘要: A vacuum cleaner main body includes a main body case, a camera provided in the main body case and that can perform imaging at a given angle of view, a driving wheel that allows the main body case to travel, and a controller. The controller includes at least a traveling mode and an imaging mode. In the traveling mode, the controller controls the drive of the driving wheel to allow the main body case to travel autonomously. In the imaging mode, the controller controls the main body case to autonomously travel to a given imaging position so that the camera sequentially images still images in a plurality of adjacent directions at an angle equal to or smaller than the angle of view. The vacuum cleaner main body can securely image, with the camera, a wide range without any blind spots.

The method further includes placing the vacuum cleaner into a space formed between an original floor and a plurality of raised panels of the raised access flooring system, and operating the vacuum cleaner to perform a cleaning operation.
