    摘要: The invention relates to a dental implant comprising an implant body provided with a central receiving opening, a structural element provided with a journal engaging in the receiving opening, and a tension bolt which penetrates a borehole of the structural element and is screwed into an inner thread located in the receiving opening. First and second indexing elements are arranged in an apical region of the structural element, in order to pre-define the rotational position of the structural element in relation to the implant body. The at least one first indexing element is associated with the implant body or the structural element in a rotationally fixed manner, and at least two second indexing elements are associated with the structural element or the implant body in a rotationally fixed manner. The indexing elements extend especially at least partially into the region of the conical outer surface of the journal.

In order to provide advantageous constructional conditions it is proposed that the conical cap part (7) has at least two consecutive conical sections (9, 10) in the axial direction, which conical sections have an opening angle that differs from the opening angle of the conical shoulder (8), and when the one conical section (9) contacts the conical shoulder (8) without pressure the other conical section (10) engages in the shoulder cone (11) with play.

    摘要: An endosseous dental implant system includes a dental implant having a multi-sided projection at its top end and an internally threaded or unthreaded passage extending into the body of the implant through an opening in the projection at the top of the implant, and an abutment having an internal passage for receiving a fastener that passes through the internal passage of the abutment, and threads into the internal passage inside the implant. The abutment has a multi-sided internal cavity at its bottom end with each of the cavity sides perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the abutment so that the cavity, when seated over the projection at the top of the implant, forms an anti-rotational, interlocking junction with the implant.

    摘要: A method of fixing a dental implant assembly is described. The assembly includes an implant, a driver/abutment device, and a spacer. The bottom portion of the device has a protrusion with an inferior aspect and a superior aspect. The spacer prevents the oversized, superior aspect of the device from engaging an interior cavity of the implant so that the driver is easily removable after insertion of the implant in the jaw of a patient. Removing the spacer permits the superior aspect to engage the interior cavity, thereby permanently fixing the driver to the implant.

The dental abutment system (10) comprises a cap (12) coupled to a retentive member (14) that is coupled to a sheath (16). The retentive member (14) may include an area-of-weakness permitting it to break-away from the cap (12) to avoid the transmission of excessive forces to the implant (20).
