    摘要： A protector for a wound on a body part has a pouch of waterproof material having at least one open end having an edge and a predetermined width so that the body part with the wound can be inserted into the pouch with the body part extending through the open end and past the edge. An elastic strap has a pair of ends one of which is permanently attached to the pouch adjacent the edge. The strap has a length equal to at least twice the width of the open end. A closure attached to the pouch adjacent the edge can be secured to the strap so that the strap can be wound around the edge to press same against the body part and can be secured to the closure to maintain the edge pressed against the body part.

A single-sided stretchable adhesive tape blank is precut into a sheet having a central anchoring portion and a plurality of outwardly extending fingers. The sheet is marked with visual indicators to guide the user of the support article for applying the central anchoring portion onto a first exterior surface of the body part and for stretching the fingers before adhering them at a predetermined distance away from the central anchoring portion. The adhesive support article can also be provided in a support system with at least one corresponding body landmark article, providing further guidance for applying the support article to the desired body part.

The plurality of superhydrophobic particles can be porous diatomaceous earth particles having a hydrophobic layer conforming to the surfaces of the DE particles, where the hydrophobic layer is bound to the DE particles. The plurality of attached superhydrophobic particles can render the first surface superhydrophobic, while a second surface opposite the first surface can be hydrophilic or hydrophobic. The substrate can be breathable in order to maintain skin health for the tissue underlying the bandage. The substrate can be selected from porous films, apertured films, textiles, nonwoven materials, impregnated composites thereof, and combinations thereof.

The material can have a second surface opposite the first surface that is hydrophilic. The superhydrophobic particles can be adhered to the first surface by a binder. Also included is a method of making the bandages described herein.
