摘要:
A patient transport conveyor for conveying a patient on a liner between a first elevation and a second elevation includes a rail containing conveyor having a first end for placement at the first elevation and a second end for placement at the second elevation. The rail containing conveyor includes first and second spaced generally parallel rail members extending generally between the first and second ends. The first and second rail members define a litter receiving space for receiving the litter and maintaining the litter on the conveyor. A guide member extends generally between the first and second ends. The guide member configured for being engaged with the litter to help maintain the litter in the litter receiving space. A coupler is disposed at the first end and is configured for coupling the transport conveyor to an anchoring at the first elevation for maintaining the position of the transport conveyor.

A combination cot loading and fastening system for loading and unloading an ambulance cot having a normal loading height of about 76 centimeters (about 30 inches) into an emergency rescue vehicle having a transport deck in excess of 78 centimeters (about 31 inches), the vehicle having an opening providing access to the transport deck, is disclosed. The system comprises a pair of tracks, a shuttle assembly to securely pull the ambulance cot along the pair of tracks, and a locking mechanism mounted on the shuttle assembly. The shuttle assembly is configured to position the locking mechanism a distance away from a second end of the pair of tracks and at angle below the transport deck of the emergency rescue vehicle, the angle ranging from about 10° to 25°, and the distance ranging about 22.8 centimeters (about 9 inches) to about 50 centimeters (about 20 inches).

An ambulance has two stretcher support stages placed one over the other next to one side wall of the ambulance for taking up stretchers and near the side wall there is a single guiding upright or two spaced guiding uprights, on which runners are guided and on which they may be locked at different heights. On the runners or sleeves, brackets are fixed, more specially by way of horizontal bearings, the stretcher stages being supported on the brackets. Rails running in the length-direction of the ambulance, and designed for supporting the stages, may be changed in length so that the separate runners may undergo separate adjustment in height. The front upright or a support with the same effect is fixed to the side wall of the ambulance or to the ambulance's floor, while the back guiding upright is supported by way of a floor wheel on the ambulance floor, such wheel being fixed directly to the lower end of the upright or to a post on which the upright is supported. Furthermore, the ends of the brackets supporting the lower stage which are nearest to the middle of the ambulance are supported by way of floor wheels on the ambulance floor. The front brackets are joined up by way of bearings (with an upright axis) with the front guiding upright or the support so that the back ends of the two stretcher support stages may be turned towards the middle of the ambulance in a horizontal plane. Furthermore, the guide rails placed towards the middle of the ambulance may be turned about a front upright bearing and may be moved, using a horizontal guide tube with a runner, towards the middle of the ambulance. The back supporting and guiding upright has a locking system for fixing it to the ambulance side wall. Furthermore, the back end of the top stretcher support stage, which is nearer the middle of the ambulance, may be locked with the back door of the ambulance in the transport position by using a locking bolt.

THIS DISCLOSURE PROVIDES AN APPARATUS FOR SUPPORTING AT LEAST ONE STRETCHER IN A SUBSTANTIALLY HORIZONTAL POSITION WITHIN A VEHICLE ENCLOSURE. THE APPARATUS IS ESPECIALLY USEFUL WHEN MOUNTED WITHIN AN AMBULANCE. A SINGLE COLUMNAR MEMBER IS MOUNTED IN A SUBSTANTIALLY VERTICAL POSITION WITHIN THE VEHICLE ENCLOSURE. A HORIZONTAL SUPPORT MEANS EXTENDS IN SUBSTANTIALLY OPPOSITE DIRECTIONS FROM THE COLUMNAR MEMBER. AT LEAST TWO CANTILEVER ARMS ARE CONNECTED TO THE HORIZONTAL SUPPORT MEANS. THE CANTILEVER ARMS ARE LATERALLY DISPLACED WITH RESPECT TO EACH OTHER AND HAVE FREE ENDS IN A PROJECTING POSITION ON WHICH A STRETCHER IS SUSPENDED ABOVE THE BOTTOM OF THE VEHICLE ENCLOSURE. VARIOUS MEANS FOR FOLDING THE APPARATUS INTO A STORAGE POSITION ARE ALSO DISCLOSED.

A loading device for incorporation into a vehicle, such as an ambulance, for loading and unloading a stretcher. The loading device has a retracted configuration and an extended configuration. The loading device being predisposed to the extended configuration. The loading device may include a hoist assembly to counteract the predisposition to the extended position and move the loading device to the retracted configuration.

A system for transferring patients to and from emergency medical vehicles and for securing the patients within the vehicles during transport is particularly adapted for helicopters, with at least two stations within the helicopter for securing two patients therein. The system accommodates standard stretchers or patient litters, including a first litter positioned in the first station in the rear of the aircraft approximately aligned with but above and behind the second patient station. In order to load the patients into the separate stations, interlockable trays and support plates are used. An upper tray is initially telescoped within a lower tray which, in turn, is supported on a carriage and lift assembly. The lower tray can be swung relative to the lift assembly to an oblique position pointed toward the exterior door of the helicopter. In addition, the lower tray, with the upper tray supported thereon, can be raised so that the upper tray can be slid rearward into the second station. Each tray has mechanism for locking a patient litter securely in the tray.
