摘要： A ball striking apparatus comprises a ball strike member arranged on a free end of a resiliently flexible arm(s). The free end of the arm(s) can be drawn back manually and subsequently released to drive the bail strike member through a primary impact zone so that the ball strike member can strike a ball in the primary impact zone. The resiliently flexible arm is mounted at one end to a support structure with the opposite, free end adjacent the primary impact zone. The support structure is fastened to an edge of a table that defines a playing surface. A bail support arrangement is configured to support the ball in the primary impact zone such that the ball can be struck by the ball strike member and driven away from the primary impact zone.

摘要： A mechanical projector for use with an existing table bowling game allows players a choice of speeds at which a projectile is launched along a lane towards a target. This launcher may comprise a relatively soft speed-up roller rotatable about an axis transverse to the lane. Preferred versions of the projector have a ball-clearing mechanism that moves a returning ball, rolling from the target zone toward the player, off to one side of the alley so that the returning ball can bypass the projector and be returned to the player. In addition, a preferred version of the projector may be moved out of its normal operating position to allow for conventional unassisted play.

There may be a plurality of the playpieces, each shaped as a fish or other character. The illustrated striker is in the form of a shark having a side-to-side oscillating tail. The striker may engage and knock over the playpieces with its nose, and also with its oscillating tail as it goes by the playpieces.

摘要： A bumper bowling game, combining the features and required skills of conventional billiards and bowling, includes a V-shaped table having flat outgoing and return alleyways with a concave gutter along each side thereof. The outgoing and return alleyways are joined at their distal ends by a cushioned bumper. A ball starter at the proximal end of the outgoing alleyway may be aimed by moving it laterally and pivotally and includes a starting ramp down which a ball rolls by gravity to gain sufficient speed to propel it in an outbound direction along the outgoing alleyway. When the ball comes in contact with the cushioned bumper, it is deflected and caused to travel in the opposite or return direction along the return alleyway. A number of pins, shaped like conventional bowling pins, are arranged in the same configuration as in conventional bowling at the proximal end of the return alleyway to be knocked down by the ball as it travels along the return alleyway. Scoring is the same as in conventional bowling.

摘要： An amusement apparatus simulating a bowling type game having an elongated alley and a plurality of pins positionable at one end of the alley and adapted to be overturned by a ball projected over the alley. A ball propulsion device is provided at the opposite end of the alley and comprises an elastic band extending transversely across the alley and through a spherical propulsion member generally on a transverse diameter of the spherical member. The propulsion member is generally of the same diameter as the bowling ball. Spotting means is provided for the pins on the alley and includes complementary attracting permanent magnets embedded in the base of each pin and in the alley to insure that the pins are properly spotted when placed at preselected spotting positions.

摘要： A combination pool and bowling game employs a guide member that is pivotally mounted on a table having ball-receiving pockets at spaced locations thereabout. The guide member is provided with an open-ended chute adjacent to one end thereof on which a movable cue ball may be supported. Additionally a tethered impact member is suspended from a stanchion on the guide member. When properly swung, the impact member may collide directly with the cue ball to propel it onto the playing surface through the chute, and the angular position of the chute will determine the direction of movement of the cue ball onto the playing surface. The tethered impact member may be used in bowling by pivoting the guide member.
