摘要： A banding apparatus including a housing and a base plate which are conected with each other through expansion screws. A receiving slot for receiving overlapping band sections is provided between the base plate and the housing. A band tightening device serves to tighten the overlapping band sections. A tool serves to connect the overlapping band sections. In the process, a drive device moves an upper tool part against a lower tool part on the base plate. The introduction of an excessive drive force in the tool and then the band sections to be connected is prevented by means of the expansion screws and/or is displayed, thereby preventing damage to the banding apparatus and the band sections to be sealed.

摘要： Wire binding is placed around hoses or packages or any other item requiring a binder by first forming a wire into a hairpin shape. The doubled wire is placed around the object and the ends are brought through the bight. The bight is engaged with the nose of a hand tool and the ends attached to a windlass which extends from the hand tool. Rotation of the windlass by operation of plier-like handles causes the wire to be wound upon the windlass, tightening the wire around the object. The tool is then rotated about the bight of the wire which brings the ends of the wire bent over from around the bight. The ends of the wire are snipped off, thus completing the binding.

摘要： A tool for facilitating the pulling of strands between spaced supports to which the strands are to be attached which consists generally of a handle with a grooved pulley mounted thereon and a rotatable key mounted on the handle adjacent the pulley which may be turned from an open position to permit placing a loop of the strand over the pulley to a closed position to prevent the strand loop from leaving the pulley when not in taut condition and the method of pulling strands using said tool which includes the steps of fastening the ends of strands being fed from storage rolls to one support adjacent the storage rolls, looping said strands over the pulley, pulling the tool with the strands looped over the pulley to a second support and finally fastening the strands thus pulled to the spaced supports.

摘要： A hand tool for tensioning and cutting the strap of a wire tie, the tool having a draw bar for drawing the strap to a predetermined tension and a toggel-like linkage system for actuating a strap cutting means when the strap is drawn to a predetermined tension. Means are provided for selectively adjusting the predetermined tension in finite fixed increments and for providing a vernier or fine adjustment of the predetermined tension with reference to each finite fixed increment. An operating lever adapted to actuate the toggle-like linkage system is pivotally attached to the tool''s handgrip near the remote bottom portion thereof so that the pivot point of the actuating lever is generally located below the operator''s hand when the tool is in operation.
