    摘要： A thread rolling head includes a bearing housing, in which at least two profile rollers, preferably at least three, are each rotatably mounted on an eccentric shaft. A shank is coupled to the housing, and adjacent profile rollers delimit an insertion section into which a workpiece can be longitudinally inserted. The bearing housing includes two housing parts rotatable relative to each other to change the spacing between the profile rollers. An adjustment element interacts with one of the two housing parts and can rotate about the longitudinal axis thereof. Rotation of the adjustment element in a first direction causes rotation of the two housing parts in a third rotational direction, while its rotation in the second direction causes rotation of the housing parts in a fourth rotational direction counter to the third rotational direction. A display apparatus displays a change of the spacing between the profile rollers.

    摘要： A method and apparatus for manufacturing a bolt capable of mass-producing a multiple screw bolt such as a so-called double screw bolt at a low unit price, and a thread rolling die for use therein. The apparatus for manufacturing a bolt comprises a pair of thread rolling dies (1) which are arranged opposite to each other at a predetermined interval, and a bolt supporting unit (2) which supports a cylindrical bolt material (3) in a predetermined position. The thread rolling dies (1) are provided with a transfer pattern (4) having a coarse thread portion (5) which is part of a coarse thread formed by developing a coarse screw, and projections (6) which are part of a fine thread (6a) formed by developing a fine screw as shown by an imaginary line (6a), the fine thread (6a) being formed cyclically on a root portion (5a) of the coarse thread according to a phase shift between the fine thread and the coarse thread.

    摘要： An apparatus for forming tapered threads on a pipe such as a gas pipe comprises a base table on which a chuck device for holding a pipe is mounted in an opposing relation to a casing also mounted on the base table. A rotary disc is mounted on one side of the casing to be rotatable and a plurality of, at least three, die supporting plates are pivoted on one side of a rotary member integrally formed to the rotary disc. A plurality of rolling dies detachably attached to the disc supporting plates, respectively, and the rolling dies are rotated through a power transmission mechanism operatively connected to a drive source. To the respective die supporting plates are fitted a operational wheel to be movable axially with respect to the rotary members, the operational wheel being provided with a circumferential groove formed on the outer periphery thereof, to which a slidable ring is fitted, and a manipulative wheel is pivoted by a pair of pins positioned in the diametrical direction to the slidable ring, the manipulative wheel shifted by 90.degree. with respect to the pins being pivoted to the casing.

    摘要： A device (20) for root-rolling a thread (T) on an object (O) includes: a body (21), an accumulator piston (24) mounted for sealed sliding movement within a body passageway (22), a coarse adjustment screw (25) threaded onto the body, a Belleville spring stack (26) compressed between the coarse adjustment screw and the accumulator piston, an actuator piston (28A or 28B) mounted for sealed sliding movement within a cylindrical opening (23) in the body, and a thread roll (32) rotatably mounted on the actuator piston. A fine adjustment screw is threaded (33) into a first opening (34) on the body, and communicates with a fluid chamber between the accumulator and actuator pistons. The positions of the coarse and fine adjustment screws may be selectively adjusted to controllably vary the fluid pressure within the chamber. The device may be mounted on a machine tool (35) and selectively moved toward the object to root-roll a thread on the object when the object and device are rotated relative to one another.
