    摘要: A casting nozzle suited to manufacture a casting material of pure magnesium or magnesium alloy is provided. A nozzle is utilized to manufacture a casting material by supplying molten metal to a portion between rolls which become a casting die, and arranged so that a pouring port is located between a pair of rolls opposed to other. This nozzle includes a main body formed of oxide material such as alumina, and a coating layer which is provided on the inner surface of the main body which comes into contact the molten metal, and formed of material that does not include oxygen substantially. Since the main body does not come into direct contact with the molten metal due to the coating layer, it is possible to prevent oxygen included in the main body from reacting with the molten metal. Further, in the nozzle, a casting die contact portion which comes into contact with the rollers is formed of thermal insulation material, whereby it is prevented that the molten metal in the nozzle is cooled through the casting die contact portion by the rollers.

    摘要: A casting nozzle suited to manufacture a casting material of pure magnesium or magnesium alloy is provided. A nozzle is utilized to manufacture a casting material by supplying molten metal to a portion between rolls which become a casting die, and arranged so that a pouring port is located between a pair of rolls opposed to other. This nozzle includes a main body formed of oxide material such as alumina, and a coating layer which is provided on the inner surface of the main body which comes into contact the molten metal, and formed of material that does not include oxygen substantially. Since the main body does not come into direct contact with the molten metal due to the coating layer, it is possible to prevent oxygen included in the main body from reacting with the molten metal. Further, in the nozzle, a casting die contact portion which comes into contact with the rollers is formed of thermal insulation material, whereby it is prevented that the molten metal in the nozzle is cooled through the casting die contact portion by the rollers.

    摘要: The invention relates to a casting nozzle for a horizontal strip casting system, in particular for casting steel strip, wherein the nozzle is designed as a narrow rectangular hollow block having a bottom, top and two side walls and made of refractory material, the outflow region being located only slightly above a cooled continuous belt receiving the outflowing melt. Viewed in the flow direction, it is provided that the clear cross-section of the hollow block in the outflow region reduces uniformly in the direction toward the outflow and the end face of the bottom of the hollow block is designed with respect to the surface of the continuous belt such that the melt contacts the continuous belt perpendicularly.

    摘要: A metal strip casting apparatus and a method of casting continuous metal strip includes assembling a pair of counter-rotatable casting rolls having casting surfaces positioned laterally forming a nip between for casting, and delivering molten metal through a delivery nozzle disposed above the nip capable to form a casting pool supported on the casting rolls. The delivery nozzle comprises segments each having elongate nozzle body with longitudinally extending side walls, end walls and a bottom part to form an inner trough, a nozzle insert disposed above bottom portions of the inner trough of each segment and supported relative to the nozzle body through which incoming molten metal may be delivered to the inner trough of each segment of the delivery nozzle, and the elongate nozzle body of each segment having passageways in fluid communication with the inner trough and outlet openings capable of discharging molten metal from the nozzle body outwardly into the casting pool.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for casting NF metal baths, particularly copper or copper alloys, to produce flat products at least 20 mm thick, ensure melt introduction into a pool while preventing gas pockets or impurities flushing into the melt of a casting mould. The melt continuously flows along a flow-off element from a tundish to a bath level of the mould, at a casting angle of up to 15° and a constant or decreasing rate, and is conducted below a pool surface of the mould without influencing flow rate. Vortexes generated by melt hitting the bath surface are prevented from extending within the mould by a cover surrounding a top surface of the flow-off element. Gaseous components produced when the melt flows, escape via a free space above the flow. Gravity determines a flow rate of the free melt flowing from tundish to molten bath of a revolving strip-casting mould.
