摘要: The invention relates to a clamping chuck. The clamping parts of the jaws are connected to support pieces sliding radially inside the body by means of bolts sliding axially inside these support pieces and provided with teeth.An axially sliding operating ring causes the jaws to clamp by acting on the support pieces by means of levers for example. The bolts are operated by actuating members.To avoid undesired clamping when the clamping parts are disassembled or adjusted, means lock the operating ring when an actuating member is in the position corresponding to retraction of the bolt, preferably before this retraction can be performed.

摘要: A chuck having bell crank driven cylindrical master jaws paired with associated workpiece clamping jaws. Each clamping jaw is securely and safely locked to its master jaw and released therefrom by a clamping plate which is disposed in a radial, Tshaped slot in the clamping jaw. The plate has legs extending rearwardly into a radial passage in the master jaw engaging therein a radially disposed camming pin which is actuable to draw the clamping jaw into locked or released position with the master jaw. The clamping jaw, in its released position, is movable radially with respect to the master jaw, for adjustment or removal by sliding movement on the clamping plate. A locking pin is provided to lock each master jaw against radial movement to machine or bore the clamping jaws. A cylindrical sleeve seals the chuck against contaminating particles.

摘要: A chuck comprises radially slidable work-gripping jaws with racks, radially movable sliders with racks engageable with the racks of the jaws, and an axially movable slider-actuating means for radially moving the sliders in unison. Spring means are provided which urge the racks of both the sliders and jaws out of engagement, and a locking or restraining device is provided to force the racks of the sliders and jaws into engagement against the force of the spring means to make the connection between the sliders and jaws. When the locking or restraining device is unlocked, the connection is broken to allow the jaws to be radially moved independently of the sliders for radial adjustment.
