    摘要: A power-driven saw comprising a housing; a blade support; a motor coupled to a drive shaft; a pair of saw blades slideably supported by the blade support; and a drive mechanism for generating reciprocating rectilinear motion of the saw blades in response to rotation of the drive shaft. The drive mechanism comprises a crank assembly with a pair of diametrically-opposed crank pins rotatable about a crank axis in response to rotation of the drive shaft; and a pair of connecting-rods. The drive shaft extends from the motor, between rotational sweep of the crank pins and reciprocating sweep of the drive couplings and to where a bearing fixed in relation to the motor supports the drive shaft for rotation. The connecting rods are shaped to avoid contact with the drive shaft during rotation thereof.

    摘要: An improvement for a reciprocal saw is disclosed, the saw being of the type having an oscillating drive shaft and a counter weight that oscillates in opposing phase to the drive shaft for the purpose of reducing vibration. The improvement comprises a lateral extension arm fixed to the counter weight and projecting generally towards the drive shaft. The extension arm is connected to a mounting plate that projects generally parallel to the drive shaft towards the distal end of the drive shaft, such that when the saw is activated the drive shaft oscillates oppositely, but in parallel, to the mounting plate. A mounting cover is fixed to the mounting plate with a fastener and includes a channel therein formed generally longitudinally parallel to the drive shaft and adapted to capture both a first saw blade slidably therein and a second saw blade fixedly therein. The first saw blade is fixed to a blade mounting post of the drive shaft and the second saw blade is fixed to the mounting plate with a blade mounting post thereof. Each blade further includes a slot and slid pin for keeping the distal ends of the blades in close sliding mutual contact.

    摘要: A rectangular hole cutter according to the teachings of the present embodiment of present invention is wholly shown as including a two-member cam device within a housing with a base plate, for vibrating one of three sets of alternate cutting blades to saw a rectangular hole in wall material. The cam is powered by an electric hand drill into which a stem from the male cam member has been inserted. The male cam swivels in a notch part of the female cam, which is centered on a base plate below the housing base plate, causing a vertical vibration in the unit as it is hand held against the area to be cut. The three blade sets, which are used for different materials, are generally of several blade members linked together rotatably and attached rotatably to a base plate which is secured to the bottom of the female cam member base plate. Vibration between the two base plates is governed by four spring constrained stabilizer posts anchored in the lower base plate and extending up slideably through the upper base plate. The vibration of the unit transmitted to the cutting blades causes a swivel, sawing action with help from drop arms from the cam housing base plate connecting the overlapping saw blades at a center point in each side which returns the blades rapidly to a starting point while vibrating.

    摘要: A motor-driven hedge shear has a housing, a pair of hedge shear cutters extending in a longitudinal direction outwardly of the housing, means for reciprocatingly driving the hedge shear cutters in opposite directions and including a motor shaft, a coulisse transmission provided between the means and the hedge shear cutters, cutter holders provided for supporting the hedge shear cutters and having coulisse ears, the coulisse transmission including toothed gears provided with crank pins engaging in the coulisse ears, a central shaft supporting the toothed gears and having ends rotatably supported in the housing. Two of the toothed gears of the coulisse transmission are arranged on the central shaft so as to be axially spaced from one another, and have facing sides provided with crank pins formed as eccentrically arranged circular discs. The coulisse ears of the cutter holders surround and slidingly guide the crank pins, each of the crank pins having a first opening surrounding the central shaft and being connected with an adjoining one of the toothed gears so as to be rotated by the latter.
