Abstract: The disclosure relates to a handheld work apparatus, wherein the work apparatus includes a housing, a drive motor for driving a tool, and a handle disposed on the housing. A contour is provided on the handle and a counter contour is provided on the housing. In the inoperative position of the handle, a minimum friction torque (M1) which acts about the pivot axis is provided between the handle and the housing. In the operative position of the handle, the contour and the counter contour are operatively connected in such a manner that a further friction torque (M2) which acts about the pivot axis is present between the handle and the housing. The further friction torque (M2) in the operative position is greater than the minimum friction torque (M1) in the inoperative position.

Abstract: This invention is a small portable saw for hunters in which the blade of the saw can be stored in a watertight compartment in the handle. The handle can be replaced with an attachment that enables the saw to be attached to a tree limb. This extends the distance the saw can reach. The top of the saw includes a saw blade and a cap with a threaded opening in its bottom. The cap is designed to allow for easy removal of the saw blade. The cap can be attached to a handle that has a watertight compartment for storage of the saw blades or an attachment that enables the cap to be attached to a tree limb to extend the reach of the saw. The attachment threads into the cap and a tree limb is threaded into the attachment's bottom.

Abstract: A pole saw includes a long handle with end adapter, a blade-carrying component pivoted to the end adapter for movement between an extended use position and a handle-adjacent storage position, and a saw blade fixed to the blade-carrying component. The end adapter and holding component are cast aluminum for strength and light weight, and are pivoted together about an offset axis so that the blade and blade-carrying component are positioned adjacent the handle in a partially protected position when collapsed for storage. Abstract: A tool is provided into which a saw blade can be mounted and removed therefrom. The tool includes a housing have a groove therein. An attachment assembly is mounted in the groove and can be slid within the groove. The attachment assembly includes a first part, a second part, and a member attaching the parts together, while allowing the parts to move relative to each other. The saw blade is inserted between the first and second parts and is removable therefrom. A spring retainer is affixed within the housing. The attachment assembly is moveable within the housing to abut against the spring retainer. When the attachment assembly abuts the spring retainer, the second parts can be moved out of engagement with each other to allow the removal of the saw blade from therebetween.
