Abstract: An auto-scraping apparatus for a work piece of a hard rail has a tracking device, a driving device and a tool device. The tracking device has a connecting frame, a moving frame, a lifting frame and a tool frame. The moving frame is movably connected to the connecting frame. The lifting frame is movably connected to the moving frame. The tool frame is rotatably connected to the lifting frame. The driving device is connected to the tracking device and has two linear motion units and a rotating motion unit. One of the linear motion units drives the moving frame and the other linear motion unit drives the lifting frame. The rotating motion unit is mounted in the tool frame and has a rotating shaft. The tool device is detachably connected to the driving device and has a tool carrier and a relieving tool.

Abstract: Apparatuses and methods are implemented for machining a longitudinally extending slot in a bore of a component. The component is gripped in a gripping device of a workholding device. A cutting operation is performed in order to cut the slot in the bore by a cutting tool. The cutting operation forms burred slot edges. The edges are further machined by inserting a deburring device into the bore. Relative angular reciprocation for a limited angle is imparted between the deburring device and the component.

Abstract: A glazier''s tool for use in scraping the windshield retaining channel of an automobile includes a case having electric heating means therein in heat exchange relationship with a protruding tubular sleeve extending forwardly from the case. A steel chisel is removably received in the sleeve. A V-shaped support bracket is secured to the bottom of the casing and sleeve for supporting the chisel at a correct angle with respect to the surface being scraped. The rear leg of the bracket is provided with a heat insulating hand grip. An upwardly extending heat insulating hand grip may also be provided on the sleeve if desired.
