摘要： A folding handsaw pack-pole system is a folding pruning saw that a hunter or woodsman may conveniently carry folded and may carry in a sheath having a belt loop, for trimming branches from thick foliage or wooded area to clear lanes through the woods for shooting. The handle has a pole receiver so that the hunter doesn't have to carry a long extension handle with him into the woods, but rather cuts an appropriately sized branch to slide into the pole receiver to cut high branches that are normally beyond the user's reach without such an extension.

摘要： The present invention is a lightweight collapsible hand saw for use when camping, hiking or otherwise. The saw breaks down and can be consolidated into a single tubular shape, with all of the components fitting inside the tube. In the functional configuration, a triangular saw may be constructed out of two tubular members having different diameters, a saw blade and a tightening element. Alternatively, both a triangular saw and a buck saw may be constructed out of three tubular members having different diameters, a saw blade and a tightening element. The tubular members form the frame of the saw and contain slots for inserting the saw blade. The tightening element is provided to give the saw the necessary rigidity and impart the necessary tension on the blade. In addition, the apparatus can be used to form a campfire cooking utensil with a number of accessorising elements.

摘要： A hacksaw of the type utilizing an elongated blade maintained tension between respective legs of the saw frame includes a cam-actuated blade tensioning mechanism. One leg of the saw frame includes a fixed blade pin for receipt through a mounting hole defined at one end of the elongated blade. The other leg of the saw frame includes a pin carrier having a blade pin for receipt through the mounting hole defined at the other end of the elongated blade. The pin carrier is pivotal between a blade release position and a blade securement position. In presently preferred embodiments, the pin carrier defines a cam follower engaging an elliptically arcuate cam surface defined on a pivotal actuator member. The actuator member may have a lever portion for providing mechanical advantage during its pivotal movement. A releasable lock mechanism is provided to maintain the actuator member, and thus the pin carrier, in the blade securement position during use. Preferably, the releasable lock mechanism is configured to require the simultaneous occurrence of two events in order to permit release of the blade.

The handles and crosspiece can be used as emergency splints.
