Abstract:
A method and system for calibrating moisture sensors in a concrete production plant are disclosed. The moisture sensor is in communication with a computer database through a transceiver. The moisture sensor records numerous readings of moisture for aggregate used in concrete production, which are stored in the database. Separately, a manual sample of aggregate taken from the production line is determined to have a moisture content, which is the baseline for calibrating the sensor. This record is also entered into the database. The moisture sensor reading and the manual sample record are compared for multiple iterative readings to determine whether a sensor requires further calibration.
Abstract:
Provided is a mixing and adjusting method for foundry sand that uses a sand muller, having weight measuring means for measuring a weight of the foundry sand to be mixed, water content measuring means for measuring a water content of the foundry sand to be mixed, water pouring means for pouring water into the foundry sand, and CB value measuring means for measuring a CB value of the foundry sand during mixing.
Abstract:
A measuring apparatus of submergence aggregate according to the present invention comprising a stock bin for storing fine aggregate, a fine aggregate feed hopper placed under the stock bin, a vibrating feeder placed under a discharge opening of the fine aggregate feed hopper, a screen device placed in the vicinity of an exit of the vibrating feeder, a measurement tank placed under the screen device, an electrode-type displacement sensor as means for measuring a water level placed above the measurement tank, and load cells as mass measuring means for measuring a mass of the measurement tank.
Abstract:
A process for adjusting the level of water or water soluble additives in aqueous-based powder injection molding compounds for the purpose of recycling scrap material, controlling shrinkage or rehydrating dry feedstock. Depending on the objective, the process may require material granulation equipment, equipment for the addition or removal of water and mixing equipment. The molding compounds may be comprised of either recycled scrap material before being heat-treated or dry, virgin feedstock material.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and apparatus for preparing concrete mortar. In order to regulate the moisture content of the concrete mortar a sand sample is taken of the sand used. This sand sample is dried. The amount of water added to a concrete charge is regulated subject to the weight difference of the sand sample prior to and after drying.
