    摘要: A discharge gate is provided for delivering a mixed slurry from a gypsum slurry mixer, and includes a first extractor port configured for generating a first density slurry for a first gypsum layer, and a second extractor port configured for generating a second density slurry for a second gypsum layer. A channel is defined by a front panel and a side panel of the discharge gate for delivering the first and second density slurries from the slurry mixer. The first extractor port extends semi-tangentially from the front panel of the discharge gate, and is connected in fluid communication with the front panel via the channel and a first slurry passageway disposed within the first extractor port for delivering the first density slurry.

    摘要: Disclosed are method and system for treating concrete in mixing drums of delivery vehicles having automated rheology (e.g., slump) monitoring systems programmed to dose fluids into concrete based on the monitored rheology. The present invention takes into account a Revolution-To-Discharge value (“RTD”) which reflects drum rotations needed to move concrete towards and through the mixing drum opening from which concrete is discharged, and also takes into consideration a Volume-Per-Revolution-Upon-Discharge (“VPRUD”) value which reflects the relation between the rate of discharge and rheology (e.g., slump) of concrete upon discharge. The invention is especially useful for reclaiming concrete in the drum after delivery and can confirm rheology based upon peak (maximum) discharge pressure. The present inventors found surprisingly that discharge pressure readings are useful for recalibrating automated rheology monitoring systems as well as for reporting and/or treating the remainder concrete.

    摘要: The present application is directed at a cement slurry collection chute basin that incorporates a leak proof means, no matter what the size or condition of the end of the concrete flop chute. By using a forward angled entry trough with a square large basin area having the attachment hooks in a forward position, the weight is put in the rear and the forward edge of the device is held forward of the end flange and tight against the lower surface of the concrete chute. A screen separates the aggregate from the cement slurry, which flows out a drain orifice in the bottom. An alternate embodiment is constructed from “half-pipe” housing. This alternate embodiment cement slurry collection chute basin will be much more efficient and economical to manufacture because of the “half-pipe” construction and the ease with which it could he welded and fabricated into form.

    摘要: There is provided an apparatus and method for dispensing a lime slurry from a storage tank. The lime slurry is continuously agitated in the tank. A conduit connects the bottom portion of the tank to an elevated pump. At least the portion of the conduit near the tank is at an angle of at least 30.degree. with respect to the horizontal so that lime particles will not tend to clog the conduit. The passage portion of the pump is continuous and straight to also reduce the probability of clogging. A source of fluid under pressure is connected to the output of the pump providing a back pressure on the pump, increasing the velocity of the slurry, and further diluting the slurry.
