    摘要: An injection molding machine wherein both a clamping mechanism and an injection mechanism are actuated by means of a servo-motor, in which machine, mold opening and closing and clamping on the clamping mechanism side are carried out by gear means provided over a transmission shaft positioned on the clamping mechanism side and a rotary member threadedly engaged with a plunger having threads in the periphery thereof, the operation for advancing and rotating an injection screw on the injection mechanism side is carried out by advancing and rotating means by a rotary shaft and gears provided within a housing and transmission means by a plurality of gears provided together with an electromagnetically-operated clutch member in a portion of said transmission shaft positioned on the injection mechanism side, said machine comprising an electromagnetically-operated clutch mechanism for temporarily stopping the application of a turning force by said servo-motor to the clamping mechanism side, and a force retaining device by an electromagnetically-operated brake capable of retaining the clamping force during the time of said stoppage, a series of steps of mold opening, clamping, injection of molten resin, metering and mold opening being effected by use of the servo-motor.

    摘要: A reciprocating screw injection molding machine characterized in that the screw is actuated by coaxial hydraulic rotary and linear motors, and in that a movable mold supporting platen has a clamping piston thereon which is reciprocable in a clamping cylinder, the latter having mounted thereon platen and valve actuating cylinders which are operatively secured to the clamping piston and to a valve member respectively to effect movement of the clamping piston and movable mold supporting platen toward and away from a fixed mold supporting platen and to open the valve member for flow of oil from a prefill tank into the clamping cylinder chamber and vice versa, said valve actuating cylinder further being operative upon closing of the mold to close the valve and to admit fluid under pressure into the clamping cylinder chamber to pressurize the trapped fluid therein to lock the clamping piston and movable mold supporting platen in mold closing position with required tonnage for injection of plasticized material into the mold cavity by operation of the injection assembly.

    摘要: An automatic control system for an injection-molding machine or the like, including a first control valve for admitting actuating fluid to a clamping mechanism, to cause the latter to grip and hold a die or other work unit, and a second valve which is automatically actuable by pressure fluid from the clamping mechanism, when that mechanism reaches its clamping condition, to actuate an injection ram to inject a molding substance into the die. A time-delay unit accumulates pressure fluid within a timing chamber during the injecting portion of the cycle, and automatically returns the first-mentioned valve to closed or off position after a predetermined delay interval sufficient to complete the injection operation.
