    摘要： A combined telephone index and switch arrangement for memory stored repertory for dialing data for automatic dial telephone systems, having a plurality of light sensitive diodes each keyed to a card in a card selector which selects a corresponding individual card of a multiple card index. A light source with a fiber optic secured to the selector transmits light from the light source to the card selector and to the diode for each card. Individual buttons corresponding to individual index lines of the displayed card can be manually activated to retrieve a telephone number stored in the memory for automatic dialing thereof.

    摘要： In an index selector device of the kind for use with a stack of index cards housed between a base and a lid hinged together and having a selector on the lid to release the lid after moving card-engaging members into engagement with a card so as to raise all the cards in the stack above the one required, the selector is a plurality of push buttons, one to each card-engaging member, arranged in two rows at right angles to the hinge. Interengaging inclined surfaces on each push button and card-engaging member cause lateral sliding movement of the card-engaging member on depression of the push button. A hook on the card-engaging member moves under the edge of the card above the one required and co-operating inclined surfaces on the inner end of the card-engaging device and a central catch bar cause the catch bar to release the lid. A barb on the card-engaging member hooks into a recess on the catch bar to hold the card-engaging member in the card-engaging position while the lid is open. A tongue on the catch bar which yields when the lid opens strikes an abutment as the lid closes and pushes the catch bar back to disengage the barb from the recess and release the card-engaging member to its normal position.

    摘要： A portable directory and note pad tray with several features. A first feature is a directory with a cover movable between open and closed positions that activates a light bulb circuit for lighting the directory cards when the cover is opened and deactivates the circuit for turning out the light bulb when the cover is closed. A second feature is a novel slide track, and slide arm structure by which the directory and tray are mountable to and de-mountable from a desired surface to present an optimum mounting angle for that surface. A third feature is a note pad tray with a novel base that includes a first finger gap in one of the tray's upstanding walls to allow individual sheets of a note pad to be easily removed from the tray, and a pencil recess defined in the tray with a magnetically attachable pencil that cooperates with a second finger gap in one of the tray's walls to allow easy removal of the pencil.
