摘要： The fuel sampler/strainer assembly includes a housing formed of fuel resistant material including a transparent elongated main body, a fuel receiving portion at an upper end thereof, and a fuel exiting portion also at the upper end thereof. The elongated main body has a closed lower end. The fuel receiving portion is generally tubular and has spaced-apart indentations in its upper end edge for alignment and cooperation with associated actuating arms of a pet cock drain valve. A rod is removably attachable at a first end to the fuel receiving portion and extends along a central axis of the fuel receiving portion and beyond the upper end edge of the fuel receiving portion so as to engage and manipulate a ball and spring drain valve at a second end of the rod. The fuel exiting portion includes a filter screen functioning as a barrier to water and desired particulate debris. A first protective cap fits over the fuel receiving portion for containing evaporative fumes while the fuel sampler/strainer assembly is being stowed. A second protective cap fits over the fuel exiting portion for similar purposes.

摘要： The assembly includes an integral corner door and a latch assembly, the latch assembly including a user acuatable element, a dog-ear element, a cam receiving element and a door extension. The integral corner door has a hinging portion hingedly connected to a first surface of the housing and a latching portion perpendicular to the hinging portion connectable to a second surface of the housing. The user actuatable element has a user manipulative portion and a rotatable shaft affixed thereto. The user manipulative portion is positioned on the second surface of the housing. The shaft extends through an opening through the second surface. The dog-ear element of the latch assembly is securely affixed to the shaft. The dog-ear element has a first hooked end and a second end. The first hooked end forms a recess. The hooked end has a terminal cam portion. The second end includes a door disengaging portion. The cam receiving element of the latch assembly is located on the latching portion of the corner door for receiving the terminal cam portion of the dog-ear element when the shaft has been rotated sufficiently, thus securing the corner door in a latched position. The door extension of the latch assembly is located on the latching portion of the corner door. It is urged against by the door disengaging portion when the shaft has been sufficiently counter rotated, thus pushing the corner door open. The door extension rotates the dog-ear element away from the corner door when a user closes the door as preparatory to locking it, thereby obviating the need for the user to manually rotate the shaft in order to close the door and thus avoiding potential damage of the dog-ear element.

摘要： Portable printing apparatus is disclosed that includes a portable, weather-proof housing adapted to be carried by a user as by a shoulder strap. The housing is made up of two separable housing sections joined at releasable interfitting weather-proof joints which contains and supports for transport a printer as well as the electric circuits including an onboard microprocessor on a circuit board to store data and operate the printer and a battery to power the circuits and printer. The housing has an access opening which enables sheets that are printed on to be placed in the housing. A combination sheet tray and support wall for the printer is releasably fastened to the inside of the housing. A slidable cover is mounted to slide in a wall of the housing and is arranged to cover the top of the tray and enclose and protect the sheets in the tray against the weather. The electric circuit enables command signals to be input to operate the printer and the microprocessor to store data to operate the printer.

The filter housing includes a fuel receiving end portion and a fuel exiting end portion. The fuel receiving end portion is shaped to securely attach to a fuel checker. The filter housing defines a volume for containing checked fuel. A removable screen assembly is securely attachable to the fuel exiting end portion. The removable screen assembly includes a flexible screen housing and a filter screen supported by the flexible screen housing. The filter screen is a barrier to water and desired particulate debris. A first protective cap fits over the fuel receiving end portion for containing evaporative fumes while the filter assembly is being stored. A second protective cap fits over the removable screen assembly and protects the screen when the filter assembly is being stored.

摘要： A hand-manipulative apparatus is disclosed for receiving a specimen of the fuel tank contents of a fuel tank. The apparatus comprises an elongated body of substantially circular cross-section. The body is fabricated of transparent molded material and is open at its upper end. The body is of tubular character through a portion of its length for defining a fuel-receiving compartment having a central axis and communicating with the open upper end of the body. The body has spaced-apart indentations in its upper end edge for alignment and cooperation with associated actuating arms of a pet cock drain valve, if such a pet cock drain valve is utilized. The tubular portion is closed at its lower end portion. A resilient semi-rigid rod is removably attached at a first end to the lower end portion of the tubular portion. The resilient rod extends along the central axis beyond the upper end edge of the body so as to engage and manipulate a ball and spring drain valve at a second end of the rod, if such a ball and spring drain valve is utilized. Additionally, the rod is supported at an intermediate portion thereof. Supporting the rod at the first end (lower end) provides much more effective use with ball and spring type drain valves making it much less flimsy and incapable of being pushed down the elongated body during use by the opposing force of the ball and spring valve.

Light emitting diodes and Hall effect devices are examples of preferred electric elements that may be used in the switch means to effect the electric switching required.

摘要： A telephone number index and switch device has a series of magnetic switches which are located in fixed positions with corresponding surfaces disposed along a preestablished path of movement of a card finder associated with cards having names and telephone numbers. A magnetic actuator is carried by the card finder but is not in physical contact with the magnetic switches for successively actuating the magnetic switches. A second switch separate and independent from the magnetic switches is used to complete the automatic dialing once a number is selected from the index and a magnetic switch has been actuated.
