Abstract:
A vehicle wheel includes a wheel hub rotatably mounted on a stationary axle and a running tread, tire or the like connected with the wheel hub. A device for connecting structural components such as, for instance, a transmission part or a brake disk, for the purpose of transmitting a torque between the wheel hub and the structural component to be connected is provided on the external end face of the wheel hub. In order to provide a modularly designed vehicle wheel easy to mount and dismount, the device for connecting structural components is applicable facultatively and a fastening device spacially separated from the device for facultatively connecting structural components is provided on the external end face of the wheel hub. The vehicle wheel may be designed as a driven wheel or a loose wheel with or without brake. By separating torque transmission and power transmission, mounting and dismounting of the vehicle wheel is substantially facilitated.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a rubber-sprung rail wheel having a wheel tire (1), which has a peripherally-extending web (3) on the inner side (2) thereof, and a wheel rim (4) provided with two legs (6, 7) on the outer side (5) thereof, and two rubber rings (8, 9) that are arranged between the wheel tire (1) and the wheel rim (4). The rubber rings (8, 9) are arranged on both sides of the web (3) and are laterally delimited by the legs (6, 7). A first gap (12) is formed between the inner side (2) of the wheel tire (1) and the end edges (10, 11) of the legs (6, 7) and the rubber rings (8, 9) and a second gap (12) is formed between the outer side (5) of the wheel rim (4) and the end edges (13, 14) of the web (3) and the rubber rings (8, 9). The web (3) and the legs (6, 7) are configured in such a way that the rubber rings (8, 9) are inclined with respect to the central plane of the web (3). According to the invention, the rubber rings respectively have a conically expanded region on the inner diameter (14) and outer diameter (11), and a region having a constant wall thickness between the expanded regions.
Abstract:
A wheel comprises a main body, a tread making a contact with a top face of the rail head of a rail, and a flange. At least at a portion of the wheel tread which is in contact with the rail, there is provided a tread-forming component formed of a ceramic-particle-dispersion reinforced aluminum composite material, which has ceramic particles mixed in an aluminum alloy. The tread-forming component is formed in a ring shape, fitted into a tread-forming component receiving portion and fixed to the main body by a fixing member.
