Abstract: A torque wrench stand having an arcuate or curved surface for supporting the stand is described. The stand includes a generally semi-circular main body having a hub opening through which a torque wrench socket extension passes allowing the stand to be carried by the wrench from one wheel to the next. The hub is positioned off-set from the center of the stand along the straight upper edge of the stand. The stand supports the wrench via the extension held within the hub as the wheel lug nuts are removed. The stand pivots about the hub, thus allowing the arcuate surface of the stand to continuously adjust position as necessary so that the height of the hub from the ground matches the height of the selected lug nut from the ground and the stand easily adapts to the height of any lug nut.

Abstract: A device for use in combination with a wheel brace for loosening or tightening the wheel nuts of vehicles which provides a significant mechanical advantage without deformation of the brace arm. The device comprises a ground engaging support (10) and a developed lever (11). The ground engaging support has projections (9) for supporting a socket extension (12) horizontally. The developed lever (11) has collars (17, 18) which capture a sliding bar (13) of the socket extension and enable maximum torque to be applied through point nullpnull when the developed lever is rotated in the direction nullxnull.

Abstract: This invention provides a wheel wrench support which comprises a stand member having a suitable base and an elongate body having a plurality of step-like formations or notches along the one side of the body, and a saddle member which includes a saddle formation or seat in which part of a wheel wrench can rest, an engaging formation adapted to engage a desired notch of the stand member, and biassing means capable of urging the saddle member toward the stand member in such a manner that the engaging formation engages a notch of the stand member.The saddle member also comprises a recess formation, preferably in the form of a passage, extending vertically through the saddle member so that the stand member passes through the passage of the saddle member.The biassing means comprises a spring-loaded pin or ball contained substantially within the body of the saddle member on that side of the saddle member opposite to the engaging formation and relative to the recess formation or passage.The support provides a method of applying torque to a wheel nut or stud.

Abstract: A lug wrench assistance system including: a lug wrench aid, where the lug wrench aid includes a stop at a first end and stop at a second end where the lug wrench aid is capable of engaging onto a four socket lug wrench; and a pedestal, where the pedestal includes a plurality of legs, a stem extending vertically from the legs and a cradle at the top of the stem, where the cradle receives a socket of the lug wrench during use. The lug wrench aid may include channels for engaging the socket lug wrench and the stem may include a plurality of adjustment holes to vertically adjust the height of the cradle. In the preferred embodiment, the legs are telescoping to provide vertical adjustment and each leg includes a foot as a base. Each foot may also include gripping teeth extending out of the bottom.

The vertically supported upright includes a plurality of apertures in a circular pattern. A leverage bar which is removably secured to one end of a socket-type extension for loosening a lug nut by placing a socket end of the extension on a lug. The leverage end of the extension is supported in one of the apertures in order to support the leverage bar during loosening the lug. Each aperture of the movable plate aligns with a lug such that by moving the extension to different lugs, each of the lugs are loosened.

Abstract: A lug nut removal tool has an upright support leg on a base, a clamp which can be adjusted up and down on the leg, a pivot bracket on the clamp, and a lug wrench mounted for axial sliding and rotation on the pivot bracket. The stand formed by the support leg and base holds the lug wrench at the proper elevation to be applied to lug nuts on a wheel, and and elongated handle on the wrench allows the wrench to be easily turned while applied to the lug nuts. The leg, wrench bar and handle can be pivoted to positions parallel to one another to provide for compact storage of the tool when it is idle.
