    摘要: A retractable vehicle windshield sunshade device. The device is primarily comprised of a base that houses at least one sunshade or sun screen, and at least one upper attachment member. The base is designed to attach to the dashboard of a vehicle at least one attachment fastener. The upper attachment member attaches to the interior of a vehicle windshield also via a fastener such that when the user desires to deploy the sun screen/shade over the windshield, a user can pull the screen from the base toward the upper attachment member. Then, an attachment point on the screen can be removably secured to an attachment point on the upper attachment member to hold the screen in position.

The inventive sun shield provides significantly improved flexibility for placement of the shield so the shield may be selectively placed and located by a driver or passenger in a location that best blocks in-coming sunlight. Unlike prior art sun shields, which provide the user with limited options for placement (e.g., typically pivoting in single direction), the sun shield enables a user to position the shield at a plurality of locations and in a plurality of positions, thereby increasing the user's ability to block sunlight by placing the sun shield in the best location and position to accomplish this.

    摘要: A method for reducing reflection when operating a head-up display of a motor vehicle. The head-up display includes a covering disk element and a dimming element for dimming a deflected light beam of ambient light. A control device determines a light beam path of the deflected light beam, determines a current position and orientation of the dimming element, and determines a region to be kept free of the deflected light beam around the eye point of a user. Based on this, the control device determines whether the deflected light beam passes through the area to be kept free. If so, the control device generates a control signal for adjusting a position of the dimming element to dim the deflected light beam with an adjustment device, and the adjustment device adjusts the position of the dimming element depending on the control signal.

In some aspects of the invention, a variably, directionally shadable screen and actuating system is provided, which prevents and limits problematic glare for an observation point. In other aspects of the invention, a matrix of specialized pixels creates variably-directed light from a plurality of angle-directable, shiftable sources, which aids in creating virtual, 3-D objects of greater realism than conventional 3-D imaging methods and aid in reducing the appearance of distracting interceding objects (e.g., finger blocking a touch screen). In these aspects, existing images and objects viewed through a screen may be enhanced and overlaid with effects and demonstrative information related to the overlaid images and objects and an environment. In still other aspects of the invention, electromagnetically actuated optical control techniques, including rotational lenses and sensors, are provided.

    摘要: A wire frame visor includes a generally U-shaped wire frame having inwardly extending spaced-apart opposed ends. An envelope of sun-blocking material is fastened over the generally rectangular wire frame. A mounting structure pivotally receives the opposed ends of the wire frame and is adapted to be secured to a location in a vehicle for use of the visor. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the mounting structure includes at least one adjustable torque clip which receives an inwardly projecting end of the wire frame to control the pivotal motion of the visor. In one embodiment the torque clip includes a loop which surrounds the end of the wire frame and an adjustment screw for tightening the loop around the wire end. Straps can be employed to attach the mounting structure to a side tubular member of a vehicle when so equipped.

    摘要: An automatic reset device for curtain pull bar is fixed on a rod of a curtain fabric and comprises a fixed base, a pull bar having a handle, and a torsion-supplying element. One end of a rotation axis of the pull bar is located at the fixed base, and the pull bar can be rotated relative to the fixed base. The torsion-supplying element that preserves torsion is connected between the pull bar and the fixed base. When the curtain fabric is furled and the pull bar is released, the pull bar is automatically rotated and reset by the preserved torsion force of the torsion-supplying element. The handle of the pull bar will not collide with the door trim of a vehicle, and the abutting pressure forced against the door trim by the handle of the pull bar can be efficiently controlled.

    摘要: A wire frame visor includes a generally U-shaped wire frame having inwardly extending spaced-apart opposed ends. An envelope of sun-blocking material is fastened over the generally rectangular wire frame. A mounting structure pivotally receives the opposed ends of the wire frame and is adapted to be secured to a location in a vehicle for use of the visor.
