摘要: The invention relates to a locking unit (4) for a seat belt retractor (1), which locking unit (4) is provided at one end of a seat belt spool (3) of the seat belt retractor (1), on which a seat belt (2) is retracted, so that when the seat belt (2) is quickly unrolled a locking arm (14) of a locking lever (13) is locked with an internal gearwheel (Z), as a result of which the seat belt spool (3) is locked, wherein the locking unit (4) has the following elements: the locking lever (13) with a center of rotation (D) arranged spaced apart from the center of the seat belt spool (3), an actuator arm (15) and the locking arm (14); a triggering unit having an inertia weight (17), a counter-pressure spring (18) and a transmission arm, which engages with the actuator arm (15), wherein the triggering unit is formed to rotate the locking lever (13) about the center of rotation (D) and to lock the locking arm (14) by means of the stationary internal gearwheel (Z) that is arranged about the locking lever (13) in the case of a fast acceleration of the unrolling of the safety belt (2), conditioned by the inertia force of the inertia weight (17) acting against the spring force of the counter-pressure spring (18), wherein a cover ring (19) is provided between the locking lever (13) and the internal gearwheel (Z), which cover ring (19) can be rotated into a covering position when the seat belt (2) is retracted, in which covering position the cover ring (19) at least partially covers the region between the locking arm (14) and the internal gearwheel (Z) in order to prevent locking, and which can be rotated into a release position when the seat belt (2) is unrolled, in which release position the cover ring (19) releases the region between the locking arm (14) and the internal gearwheel (Z) in order to permit locking.

摘要: When an axis of rotation 9a2 of a spool rotates in the seatbelt retracting direction, a lock gear 13 rotates clockwise which is the same direction as the spool, and an eccentric gear 16 rotates counterclockwise. A cam 20 of the eccentric gear 16 comes into contact with a lever 36 of the control lever 35 to cause the control lever 35 to rotate counterclockwise to take an operating position. A pressed pin 42b of a lever 42 comes into contact with a lever 37, so that levers 42, 43 rotate counterclockwise. A holding portion 42c of the lever 42 opposes a flywheel 14. Accordingly, since the holding portion 42c presses a held portion 14d when the entire amount of a seatbelt 4 is retracted, a rocking movement of the flywheel 14 is prevented and hence end locking is prevented.

摘要: In a webbing winder, when a webbing belt is wound around a spool, a V gear is rotated in a winding direction together with a W pawl, a friction spring, and a contact member, thereby generating a frictional force between the contact member and a sensor holder. As a consequence, the friction spring and the contact member are located at a restriction position, so that the friction spring engages with an engaging surface of the W pawl. Therefore, even if the spool and the V gear are rapidly and slightly rotated in a withdrawal direction in reaction when the webbing belt is completely wound by the spool, the W pawl cannot mesh with a ratchet gear formed at the sensor holder due to the restriction of oscillation of the W pawl, thus preventing any end lock.

摘要: A webbing retractor includes a take-up shaft, an inertia plate provided integrally and coaxially with the take-up shaft, and an inertial force imparting mechanism. When a webbing for restraining a vehicle occupant is suddenly pulled-out, the take-up shaft takes-up the webbing, and the inertia plate causes a rotational delay with respect to the take-up shaft, and rotation of the take-up shaft in a webbing pull-out direction is thereby locked. Further, the inertial force imparting mechanism that suppresses and deters rotation of the inertia plate in a webbing take-up rotation direction by the inertial force imparting mechanism applying inertial force in a webbing pull-out rotation direction to the inertia plate which attempts to rotate in a webbing take-up direction even after rotation of the take-up shaft in the webbing take-up rotation direction has stopped when a vehicle occupant cancels an applied state of the webbing and the entire webbing is taken-up.

摘要: In a seat belt retractor according to the present invention, a lock gear first cover 13 has a projection 13a formed in a relatively large ring shape. The projection 13a has teeth 13c formed all around the inner surface thereof at same intervals. These teeth 13c are formed to have the same positional relation with the teeth 2 f formed on the right-hand side wall 2a. Further the number of the teeth 13c is set to be a common divisor of the number of the teeth 2f, that is to be less than the number of the teeth 2f. Thereby, the frequency of occurrence of end lock decreases.

摘要: A seat belt retractor having a reel shaft that performs relative rotation in the unwinding direction, where teeth of a main pawl approach teeth of a side wall of the seat belt retractor by a set amount, but the teeth of the main pawl do not approach the teeth of the side wall any further. When the reel shaft further rotates in the unwinding direction, a tooth of the main pawl comes into contact with the steep slope of a tooth of the side wall. Thus, the main pawl reaches a standby position. When the reel shaft further rotates in the unwinding direction, the tip of the tooth of the main pawl is guided toward the bottom tooth of the side wall by the steep slope of the tooth of the side wall, so that the teeth of the main pawl completely engage with the teeth of the side wall. Thus, the main pawl reaches a lock position or, in other words, the main pawl performs a self-lock action.

摘要: A lock mechanism for a webbing retractor prevents an occupant restraining webbing from being wound off from a webbing takeup shaft when a vehicular emergency occurs. The lock mechanism is provided with a member to which the rotational force of the takeup shaft is transmitted through frictional contact and which cancels the locked state of the lock mechanism when the takeup shaft rotates in the webbing wind-up direction. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent the webbing from being gradually wound up when the vehicle is running thus avoiding any possibility of causing the webbing to undesirably tighten against the body of the occupant.

摘要: A safety belt retraction apparatus is provided for use in a vehicle having at least one door and a chassis. The apparatus includes a safety belt retractor mechanism mounted on the vehicle door, and having a reel about which the webbing of the safety belt is wound. The reel is adapted to take up and let out the webbing. The safety belt retraction apparatus further inlcudes a resiliently compressible bellows of blow-molded plastic. The bellows is mounted at one end to a housing containing the retractor mechanism, and has an opposite web-engaging free end adjacent the reel. The bellows is dimensioned so that its free end is spaced from the reel during initial take-up operations. Thereafeter, upon continued winding of the webbing about the take-up reel, the free end of the bellows engages the webbing, and with continued winding is compressed so as to exert a friction force on the webbing during continued take-up. The friction force precludes loose winding of the webbing about the reel. The bellows may have either a cylindrical or a wedge-shaped configuration.

摘要: A lock mechanism for a webbing retractor is designed to prevent unwinding of an occupant restraining webbing for a vehicle when an emergency situation of the vehicle occurs. The lock mechanism has a lock wheel adapted to rotate by means of biasing force in unison with the rotation of a webbing take-up shaft in a direction in which the webbing is unwound, and a pawl lever activated by the action of an acceleration sensor to engage with the lock wheel, thereby causing the rotation of the lock wheel to be delayed with respect to the rotation of the take-up shaft, and thus stopping the take-up shaft from rotating in the webbing unwinding direction. The lock mechanism further has a leaf spring member adapted to receive the rotational force from the take-up shaft through friction at three points and limit the action of the pawl lever when the take-up shaft rotates in a direction in which the webbing is wound up. Accordingly, when the vehicle is running on a rough road, the webbing is prevented from being gradually wound up onto the take-up shaft.

摘要: The main locking mechanism of an emergency locking retractor comprises teeth on the flanges of the spool on which the belt is wound, the spool being mounted in bearings arranged to permit limited translational movement in a direction perpendicular to the axis of rotation, between a position in which said teeth formations engage with complementary teeth on the frame of the retractor. Actuating means which are arranged to cause movement of the spool into its engaged position, comprise a ratchet wheel mounted on the spool for rotation and translational movement therewith, a pivotally mounted control member and a pawl which can be moved by a ball-in-saucer sensor into a position in which it couples the control member to the ratchet wheel, so that angular movement of the ratchet wheel in the belt unwinding direction causes angular movement of the control member about a pivot, thus moving the spool so as to bring the teeth on the flanges into locking engagement with the teeth on the frame.
