Abstract:
A vehicle wiper device includes a drive device, a drive shaft rotated back and forth about a first axis by the drive device, a wiper arm pivoted back and forth along a wiping surface as the drive shaft rotates back and forth, and a wiper arm biasing mechanism that biases the wiper arm toward the wiping surface. The wiper arm biasing mechanism includes a swing member, a tilting member, and a biasing member. The swing member is integrally pivotal with the drive shaft. The tilting member is supported by the swing member so as to tilt about a second axis. The tilting member includes a wiper fixing portion. The biasing member, which includes a first end supported by the swing member, and applies a biasing force to the tilting member.
Abstract:
A spring for windshield wiper assemblies is comprised of a resilient rod having a plurality of sections adapted to removably attach to a windshield wiper assembly of a vehicle. The rod includes a first hook section at one end section thereof; a second hook section located at an opposite end section thereof. An intermediate coiled section attached to and located adjacent the first hook section, and a connector section defining an axis along its length and connected between the intermediate coiled section and the second hook section.
Abstract:
A wiper assembly includes a bent arm providing a channel. The bent arm is configured to connect to a shaft of an actuator. The wiper assembly additionally includes a wiper blade slidably received within the channel. A method includes securing a bent arm to a shaft of an actuator, and biasing a wiper blade against a window during the securing.
Abstract:
A wiper arm assembly and method of construction thereof includes a mounting head and a wiper arm configured for relative rotation during assembly from a disassembled position to a shipping position, wherein the wiper arm and mounting head are locked against rotation toward the disassembled position once in the shipping position. The mounting head and wiper arm have locking surfaces configured for locked engagement with one another while in the shipping position. The locking surfaces are brought into engagement with one another by a force imparted by a spring while rotating the mounting head relative to the wiper arm from the disassembled position toward the shipping position. When in the shipping position, the locking surfaces confront each other and prevent the mounting head and the wiper arm from rotating back toward the disassembled position from the shipping position.
Abstract:
A vehicle wiper device includes a wiper arm, a drive source, a drive shaft that is pivoted by the drive source, and a wiper arm urging member. The wiper arm urging member includes a swing member, an inclination member, a rod, and a compression spring. The inclination member includes a wiper fixing portion and a drawing portion. The rod includes a basal end supported by the drawing portion. A first end of the compression spring is supported by the swing member and the second end applies an urging force to a distal end of the rod. The compression spring acts to draw the drawing portion and urge a distal end of the wiper arm toward a wiped surface.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a mounting bracket (5) for a pipe (4) supplying fluid to a driving arm (1) of a motor vehicle wiper system (100), the driving arm (1) comprising at least one spring (14), the mounting bracket (5) comprising at least one sleeve (51) configured to hold the supply pipe (4). The mounting bracket (5) according to the invention comprises a substantially hollow cylindrical body (50) linked to the sleeve (51) and configured to be inserted into a space (141) surrounded by the spring (14) of the driving arm (1). The invention also relates to a driving arm (1) comprising such a mounting bracket (5) and to a method for assembling such a driving arm (1), comprising a preliminary step of inserting the body (50) of such a mounting bracket (5) into at least part of the aforementioned space (141).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a window-wiping device for a vehicle having a fastening element fastened to a drive shaft, in particular a motor vehicle. The window-wiping device comprises a wiper blade having an elongate upper part, which is at least partially flexible, an elongate lower part, which is at least partially flexible, a plurality of connecting elements for connecting the upper part and the lower part, wherein the connecting elements are spaced apart from each other along a longitudinal extent of the wiper blade, and wherein the connecting elements are designed to enable a motion of the upper part and of the lower part in relation to each other with a motion component along a longitudinal extent of the wiper blade, and a wiper-blade-side fastening part, wherein the wiper-blade-side fastening part can be detachably connected by means of a linear motion on the fastening element, and the wiper-blade-side fastening part can be connected to the fastening element in such a way that a rotational position about an axis perpendicular to the longitudinal extent of the wiper blade and perpendicular to the linear motion is defined by a support and a further contact point.
