摘要: A brake device for an exercise bicycle has a main tube, a resilient assembly and a driving assembly mounted axially in the main tube, a end cap mounted on an open end of the main tube, and a button attached to the driving assembly. The resilient assembly has a first resilient element and a second resilient element having a second coefficient of elasticity less than a first coefficient of elasticity of the first resilient element. The driving assembly presses against the first resilient element and is able to obviously and quickly adjust a pressure of the resilient element. The second resilient element quickly pushes the resilient assembly back and a resistance force applied to a wheel of the exercise bicycle is released.

摘要: According to the present disclosure, a multi-stroke parking brake control has a pulley connected to a parking brake cable, a slidable actuating rod and connecting means constructed to drive the pulley when the rod is displaced. A gear is rotatably supported on the pulley and is in mesh engagement with a toothed rack formed on the rod. A one-way helical spring clutch drivingly interconnects the pulley and the gear in response to rotation of the gear caused by movement of the rod in a direction to tension the brake cable. A second one-way helical spring clutch interconnects the pulley and the housing and functions to hold the pulley in a brake applied condition. A release mechanism is arranged to release the second helical spring clutch to permit the pulley and cable to move to a released position under the force of a release spring. This construction of a parking brake control permits the actuating rod to be stroked a plurality of times to tension the brake cable as desired.

摘要: A vehicle hand brake lever assembly for actuating the vehicle parking brake. The lever assembly includes an axially slidable plunger mounted on a support and having one end connected with a brake actuating member. The plunger and the support have a ratchet mechanism for holding the plunger at the brake applying position. The ratchet mechanism can be released by rotating the plunger about its longitudinal axis. A handle assembly is provided at the other end of the plunger and comprises a handle having a handle shaft. A sleeve fitted to a cylindrical guide member is secured to one of the sleeve and the handle shaft, and a lock member to the other. The lock member is axially slidably received in the guide member and provided with a cam profile for cooperation with a cam profile provided on the sleeve. The lock member is spring biased toward the sleeve so that the cam profiles are normally engaged with each other to thereby maintain the handle shaft at a predetermined relationship with respect to the plunger. The lock member further has axial projections and the guide member has an end wall formed with cutouts for receiving the axial projections on the lock member when the handle shaft is pulled axially against the biasing force to thereby connect the handle shaft with the plunger so that the plunger can be rotated about its longitudinal axis to release the ratchet mechanism on the plunger.
