    摘要： A device and system for towing snow sleds either alone or with one or more riders along the surface of a snow cover slope to a higher position includes a tow cable extending continuously along a closed loop path between the starting position and the arriving position along the slope. Tow cable pulleys are located at the starting position and the arriving position upon which the cable is supported and driven. A drive motor is operatively connected to one of the cable pulleys and operating to rotatingly drive the pulley to drive the cable through the closed loop path. One or more tow hooks are connected in series at spaced intervals to the tow cable for conjoint movement therewith. Additional embodiments are disclosed.

    摘要： A cableway-type transportation system has an endless cable looped under tension about two reversing pulleys between which its two substantially parallel runs are supported by sustaining rollers yieldably overlain by retaining rollers. At an intermediate point the two runs are laterally bent in the same direction by respective deflectors lying within the loop plane, namely a first deflector comprising a relatively large pulley inside the loop and a second deflector including an array of relatively small pulleys outside the loop. The latter pulleys are partly overlain by a curved shelf rigid with a vertical web of a guard rail, the corresponding cable run passing normally under that web. Loads carried by the cable are connected therewith by generally C-shaped suspensions including cable clamps, each clamp having a movable jaw surrounding the engaged cable portion on three sides and a fixed jaw carrying rollers which coact with the web of the guard rail to detach the engaged cable portion from the array of deflecting pulleys in order to let the load suspension move past. The clamp also carries a roller riding on the shelf during such passage to support the load. The movable clamp jaw temporarily separates the engaged cable portion from any of the other pulleys encountered thereby; tapering fingers on that jaw coact with the over- and underlying retaining and sustaining pulleys to provide guidance during such separation.

    摘要： Aerial monocable chairlift or gondola lift having detachable grips for coupling the chairs or gondolas to the continuously moving cable. Each grip, in the form of a plier, has a pair of jaws, the outer profile of the jaws being so designed that the grip passes on support sheaves, hold down sheaves and horizontal wheels in the station. The clamping coil spring is inserted between the ends of the plier levers and extends substantially parallel to the hanger bar articulated on the grip body. A grip operating roller opens the jaws at a platform in the station and the speed of the chair is reduced for loading and/or unloading of the passengers before the grip is again coupled to the cable.

A further feature is to provide for a flat generally vertical shoulder on the fixed jaw for engagement with a generally flat vertical surface of the bull wheel liner to prevent the ski lift chair from swinging outward by centrifugal force as it comes around the bull wheel. A further feature is to provide for a spring washer installed in the outer barrel portion of the fixed jaw member for engagement with the chair clamp that is disposed peripherally about the barrel portion of the fixed jaw member to exert pressure against the end of the chair clamp in order to prevent swinging of the chair back and forth, in the line of the cable.
