The chariot receives telemetry from both the horse and the driver, and processes the data with an onboard computer system. The chariot comprises a display (or dashboard) and audio processor to provide the driver and other observers with information. It can be used to train or monitor drivers, Olympic athletes, equine athletes, or animals other than horses, and may be equipped with technologies often used in NASCAR or Formula One vehicles. The chariot may also be used interactively in immersive racing simulators and fantasy games.

摘要： A sulky that comprises an upper support having a seat attached thereto via a seat support member and further having at each end an outer frame member and an inner frame member; a pair of axles, each of which are disposed between one of the outer and the inner frame members, and onto which are rotatably mounted, via a wheel hub, a pair of wheels; a pair of shafts for harnessing the sulky to a horse, each of the shafts having a pivot connection along its length; and a pair of fork assemblies, each having a pair of forks which are joined at one end so as to be pivotably secured to the pivot connection along one of the shafts. The unjoined ends of the forks are rotatably connected to one of the axles on opposite sides of the wheel hub. The wheels are configured to pivot around said pivot connection upon the exertion of a sideways displacement force at the wheels. In one embodiment of the invention, each of the pair of axles is horizontally slidably secured to the outer and inner frame members. In another embodiment, each of the pair of axles is axially slidably secured to the outer and inner frame members. In still another embodiment, each of the pair of axles is horizontally and axially slidably secured to the outer and inner frame members via a ball joint, preferably mounted on a track disposed in the outer and inner frame members.

摘要： A sulky for carrying a rider behind a horse consisting essentially of an arch, a pair of wheels connected to the arch, a pair of rails extending from the arch forward in the direction of the horse, one on each side thus establishing a plane and the direction of the rails establishing a longitudinal axis of the sulky, a coupling for coupling each of the rails to the arch, wherein the coupling permits lateral movement of the rails about vertical pivot axes relative to the arch and an element for stabilizing movement of the rails connected between the plane of the rails substantially adjacent the horse and the arch. In a preferred embodiment the motion of the rails is restricted to lateral movement in a horizontal plane and the ends of the rails adjacent the arch are movably connected with a "U" joint overlapping the upper and lower surfaces of the arch. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the segments of the rails adjacent the harness of the horse include a ball joint-containing section and a free end which is capable of quickly coupling to a clevis integral with the harness.

In a particularly preferred embodiment, a pivot joint between the rail and the arch permits lateral motion of the rail, a shock absorber provides stabilization, and a fork assembly for each side of the sulky is incorporated which fork assembly is capable of telescoping axial motion. The sulky results in improved performance including tracking, efficiency and safety.

摘要： A horse cart or harness racing sulky comprises a fiber filled thermosetting resin (fiberglass) shell which partially encapsulates a U-shaped trussed bridge formed of metal tubing which has two wheels mounted on the downwardly depending legs thereof, and joins therewith bracing struts also formed of metal tubing extending upward from the wheel hubs to the fiberglass shell for partial encapsulation therein, and horse-flanking shafts protruding forwardly from the vicinity of the U-shaped trussed bridge. The fiberglass shell is preferably fabricated with bright colored or glistening metallic flake pigments, and has a gently arched top portion curving downward along its periphery into downwardly depending flanges and wheel pants. The combination of the fiberglass shell and the partially encapsulated U-shaped trussed bridge, braces, and horse flanking shafts comprise an extremely strong, lightweight, safe, weatherproof, rigid, unitary sulky having a graceful and aesthetically pleasing appearance. The sulky further comprises stirrups adjustably mounted on the shafts, a seat mounted centrally above the U-shaped trussed bridge, and conventional harness anchorage means.
