摘要: The invention employs the principle that the force of buoyancy received by a body immersed in a liquid is determined by the density of the liquid and the extent or depth of immersion in the liquid and is unrelated to the displacement of the liquid by the body, thereby reducing the total size and weight of devices providing buoyant support. Buoyant support is provided to bodies in a manner that permits devices to be made for the measurement of both small and large weights and for support of the human body for the purpose of relieving the pressure induced trauma and skin abrasion otherwise incurred by bedridden patients, such as burn victims and those requiring extended or continual bed rest. A tub-like cavity that closely conforms in size and shape to the part of the body to be immersed is made to contain and float a human body on a volume of liquid that equals only a fraction of the body's weight. Buoyancy may thus be increased by increasing the density of the liquid without undue expense and it also becomes both practical and convenient to add soothing emollients, as well as more specifically prescribed topical medications, to the supporting liquid for automatic distribution and application. Restricted range of movement and the minimal presence of liquid permits an immersed patient to be left relatively unattended without the usual drowning hazard.

摘要: Building equipment for a hull comprising a hull joining stage having a bottom surface level flush with the ground level of the site; a stern building stage having a bottom surface level flush with that of the hull joining stage, provided at a longitudinal end of the hull joining stage so as to be adjacent thereto through a gate; a bow and parallel body building stage having a bottom surface level flush with that of the hull joining stage, provided at the other longitudinal end of the hull joining stage so as to be adjacent thereto through another gate; a pond having a bottom surface lower than that of the hull joining stage, provided longitudinally in parallel with and adjacent to the hull joining stage on the water side, a longitudinal end of the pond being open to a body of water through still another gate; cranes travelling linearly along the hull joining stage, the stern building stage and the bow and parallel body building stage; and partition walls higher than the ground level and the level of the body of water, comprehensively enclosing the hull joining stage and the pond in water-tight manner in conjunction with the three gates. The building equipment for a hull covers also a combination comprising the bow and parallel body building stage divided into two parts, namely: a bow building stage and a parallel body building stage.

摘要: A home structure can have an integrated nautical garage and boat slip. The boat slip can be defined entirely under the home such that the boat can be located entirely under the home within the residential setback envelope for the home. The nautical garage can include a lift mechanism for lifting the boat out of the water. The lift mechanism can have a no profile deck that aligns substantially flush with the floor of the nautical garage when the boat is fully raised. The nautical garage can have a roll down shutter and/or door that can be closed to close off an opening of the nautical garage (e.g., once the boat has been navigated into the nautical garage). The boat slip can optionally be defined by a U-shaped culvert.

摘要: The invention is concerned with a method for assembling hulls of vessels intended to carry bulk, liquid and gas cargo and comprising an aft end, a parallel middlebody and a fore end. The building berth comprises a main site composed of a rear area and front area and having at least one adjacent transverse lateral area. The parallel middlebody is assembled from two parts. The aft and fore ends are assembled in the lateral area. The two parts which make up the parallel middlebody, and the aft and fore ends then all joined into a hull.

摘要: Pontoon structures, particularly a low-cost watercraft defining a plurality of isolated compartments vented at their tops with respect to each other and each compartment having an independent valve in its bottom. The isolation of the compartments assures stability or seaworthiness, while the venting of the compartments at their tops assures the use of compressed air for uniform control of water level in the compartments. The independent valve in the bottom of each compartment enables precise regulation of discharge and admission of seawater.

摘要: A shipbuilding complex having a dry dock with a dock adjacent area, and a flooding chamber which is adjacent to the head of the dry dock and communicates therewith. An intermediate gate divides the dry dock into a main part which is adjacent to the water area, and a head part which is next to the flooding chamber. The flooding chamber and the head part of the dry dock make up a two-level docking basin. A method for building vessels in this shipbuilding complex is as follows. The aft end and components of the parallel middlebody are assembled in the dock apron area and successively transferred to the upper floor of the junction chamber, whereupon they are floated to and placed on the lower floor of the docking basin to be then transferred to the main part of the dry dock. The latter is used to join together the aft end and the parallel middlebody components, whereupon the preassembled fore end is joined to these to complete the hull. In case gas carriers are assembled in the complex, the tanks are mounted in the middlebody afloat.

摘要: A dry dock according to the invention is characterized by that it has a main chamber for assembling a middlebody with a fore end, and at least one side chamber communicating therewith and designed for assembling an aft end of a vessel. The side chamber is separated from the main chamber by an intermediate gate. The main chamber is divided by a separating gate into two areas: a building area in which the middlebody of the vessel is assembled with the fore end, and a launching area in which the vessel is completed and from which it is launched.
