    摘要: A hand-operated piston pump includes a drive shaft and a rotor mounted in a housing case, the rotor having axial compression chambers, a piston biased by an elastic member sliding in each compression chamber and having a projecting end that engages a cam track; a fluid reservoir in the housing case; a valve plate downstream of the rotor having conduits for a pressurized fluid that communicate with conduits in walls of the compression chambers, the valve plate being non-rotatably mounted below the housing case and communicating with conduits that carry the pressurized fluid to and from a consuming unit through an interposed check valve inserted in a corresponding valve body, the valve body having an upper flange with fluid supply and return channels communicating with the fluid conduits of the valve plate. The valve plate floats relative to the upper flange and is separated therefrom by a separating member.

    摘要: A servo-assisted steering device for vehicles includes a manual control member that is connected to a pump or the like manually driving it when the control member is rotated. The pump is connected at its delivery and suction side to one of the two chambers of one or more steering actuators through hydraulic pipes, feeding a pressurized fluid alternately to one or the other of the two chambers depending on moving direction, in particular the rotation of the control member. Assist control means for the steering actuators include a hydraulic fluid tank and automatic pumping means, which are driven and connected to the hydraulic pipes when the steering wheel is operated and which, by increasing the amount of pumped fluid, increase the pressure exerted by the pump to reduce resistance when steering the control member. The number of revolutions of the motor driving the automatic pumping means may be adjusted.

    摘要: One or more helm stations are provided to remotely control the engine, transmission and steering functions of a boat or ship. Multiple station remote helms, either portable or stationary, include electric switches that, when closed, energize solenoids and relays to control single or multiple engine throttles, transmissions, ignition, starting, stopping and steering functions of a boat or ship. These switch groups are placed in any location on the vessel or may be mounted on a hand held portable unit which is plugged into various locations where matching receptacles are placed. The throttle, transmission shifting and steering movement is provided by hydraulic cylinders, with fluid pressure supplied by electrically powered hydraulic pumps. The fluid supply to these cylinders is controlled by electric solenoid operated valves, which in turn are activated by the electric helm switches. The ignition and starting functions of the engines are energized by relays, which in turn are closed or opened by any of the multiple helm switches.

    摘要: A power steering system is actuated by a controller which includes a Bowden cable having a core and a sheath. The core is connected directly mechanically to a control mechanism and the sheath is connected hydraulically to the control mechanism by a control valve and an operating cylinder. To balance a reaction of the control mechanism on the core and thus undesired steering movements of the power steering system, a brake unit is disposed between the core and the sheath of the Bowden cable to prevent relative movement between the two by means of friction.

    摘要: Auxiliary control of fluid actuated steering apparatus for ships, boats and the like (hereinafter, "water vessels") includes isolating the existing steering control system from the steering apparatus and providing flow-communication between fluid under pressure and the steering apparatus through an auxiliary directional control sub-system enabling control of the steering apparatus independently of the main steering control system. According to a preferred embodiment, the source of the fluid includes a quantity of fluid stored under pressure and another quantity of fluid adapted to be provided under pressure. Isolation of the existing steering control system is carried out by coupling the source of fluid to a by-pass control sub-system preferably adapted both to isolate the main steering control system and to couple the auxiliary directional control sub-system to the steering apparatus. Initiation of the auxiliary steering control may be carried out by electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic actuation or, preferably, by a combination thereof.
