One embodiment comprises: a cable spool, fore and aft cable sections, a compression beam, a compression beam guide, and a linear actuator. As the linear actuator drives the compression beam, relative rotation is imposed between the compression beam and the spool. Described, in one aspect, is an embodiment configured to tilt an aircraft propulsion unit.

    摘要: Controlling rotor blades of a rotor assembly includes determining an azimuthal position of a rotor assembly and identifying a lateral control command value, a longitudinal control command value and a collective control command value of a rotor assembly control system. A sine value and a cosine value of the azimuthal position are calculated and separate blade commands signals are generated for each separate blade of the rotor assembly to control a position of each blade independent of each other blade. The blade command signals are generated based on combining the sine and cosine values of the azimuthal position with the lateral control command value, the longitudinal control command value and the collective control command value.

The first and third fluid openings are configured to provide a first fluid to the first chamber and the second chamber at a first pressure, the second fluid opening is configured to provide a second fluid to the first chamber at a second pressure, and the fourth fluid opening is configured to provide a third fluid to the second chamber at a third pressure different from the second pressure.

At least one hydraulic actuator member is operatively coupled to the control horn and at least one hydraulic actuator element is operatively coupled to the swashplate assembly and the at least one hydraulic actuator member. The at least one hydraulic actuator member transmits control signals from the swashplate assembly to the one of the plurality of rotor blades through the at least one hydraulic actuator member.

    摘要: A novel electro-hydraulic control system for use with a helicopter includes a plurality of electro-hydraulic modules which provide control signals to corresponding blade actuators. A controller receives helicopter parameter input signals as well as pilot command signals and generates the control signals in accordance with preestablished algorithms. The system is characterized by a hydraulic slip ring that transmits the hydraulic control signals from the fuselage to the rotating assembly. Consequently, the present system provides "fly by wire" operation with individually addressable helicopter blades.
