摘要： A large container loading system and method for a packaging machine includes an infeed conveyor and a transfer flight. An array of pivotable cradle lugs is carried by the transfer flight in synchronized movement with cartons on an adjacent carton flight. Containers are moved into the cradle lugs in an upright orientation and the cradle lugs and containers are reoriented to a substantially horizontal or sideways orientation before being pushed into their cartons by an inserter assembly. A transfer block or a support conveyor may be positioned between each of the cradle lugs and an aligned open container to support a container as it moves between a cradle lug and a carton.

摘要： One variation of a system for packaging a foodstuff includes: a ramp; a bag dispenser adjacent the ramp and dispensing a bag into a load position; a paddle pivotable about a hinge arranged above the ramp, comprising a leading edge opposite the hinge and engaging the ramp, and extensible between a retracted setting and an extended setting, the leading edge of the paddle in contact with the ramp in the retracted setting and inserted into the mouth of the bag in the extended setting; an actuator coupled to the paddle and extending the paddle between the retracted setting and the extended setting; and a conveyor advancing the a foodstuff toward the bag dispenser, foodstuff contacting a bottom surface of the paddle and pivoting the paddle about the hinge to separate an upper layer of the bag from a lower layer.

摘要： An apparatus for collecting a flattened tubular box, for opening-out and transferring the tubular box towards a receiving station has a first member hinged to a frame, bearing first aspirating means. Second, third, and fourth hinged members and the frame forming a four-bar linkage. A fifth member, hinged to the fourth member, bears second aspirating means. An abutting member is arranged between the first member and the receiving station inferiorly of the tubular box. The apparatus is being designed such that when the tubular box is in the folding position, a second wall of the box can be intercepted by the second aspirating means and folded progressively with respect to the first wall, the first aspirating means disengage the first wall, and the box moved by the second aspirating means up to rest on the abutting member with a consequent complete opening-out of the tubular box.

The apparatus has a third hinged member, a fourth hinged member, a fifth hinged member, and a sixth hinged member. The third and fifth hinged members rotate to move the first member and the second member in synchrony with the first conveyor and the second conveyor, the first thrust plate and the first abutting blade driven by the first and second linear motors to insert an article into a box.

摘要： Pivotable clipper assemblies for attaching at least one closure clip to a product held in netting include a pivotable clipper mechanism having a clipper body configured to deliver clips to a clip window and attach the clips to netting and a first cutting cartridge mounted to the pivotable clipper mechanism. The first cutting cartridge includes: (a) a knife; (b) an actuation cylinder with a rod in communication with the knife that advances and retracts the knife; and (c) an anti-rotation block attached to a rear of the knife intermediate the knife and rod to inhibit the knife and rod from rotating, wherein, in operation, the first cutting cartridge pivots with the clipper mechanism.
