摘要： The present disclosure generally relates to an insulating device, for example a cooler, and a latch and latching system for securing a lid of the insulating device in a closed position. More specifically, the insulating device includes a chest coupled to a lid, and a ledge extending from the chest. A slot is formed in the ledge and for each slot, a pair of protrusions extend from a bottom surface of the ledge on other side of the slot. The protrusions are received by corresponding recesses formed in the latch. Thus, when the latch is in the engaged position, the protrusions are physically securely engaged in the recesses by virtue of the latch being in a tensioned configuration.

摘要： A package for preserving freshness and storing elongated items. The package is preferably biodegradable, substantially airtight, child resistant and reusable. Various seal constructions are described for sealing a case body portion against a case lid portion. The respective sealing surfaces of the case lid portion and case body portion are complementary, but spaced. A continuous elastomeric seal is provided in the seal space between the complementary sealing surfaces. The seal is configured to be compressed along the entire sealing length of the sealing surface when the case lid portion is pivoted into the latched position. The compressed elastomeric seal provides a spring force that retains the latch in the latched position and a spring force that is resolved into sealing vectors perpendicular to the sealing surface along the entire length of the sealing surface to ensure a seal along the sealing surface.

摘要： The invention, a compact container for mounting to a golf cart, has a box like body with an open top end and a pocket in the back wall that cooperates with a bracket mounted to a golf cart for selectively supporting the container. The invention includes a cover having a flat top wall and a pair of opposing side flaps that extend over the side walls of the body to form a pivotal connection for movement about a first axis of rotation between a closed and an opened position of the container. A U-shaped handle extends over opposing side walls of the body to form a pivotal connection along a second axis of rotation for movement between a raised position and a stowed position of the handle. The first axis is disposed approximately halfway between the second axis and the back wall of the container wherein the top wall of the cover, in the opened position, is flush with, and substantially overlaps, the back wall of the body. Thus, the clearance required for the container is minimized for mounting within the restricted space available on a golf cart.
