The sheet regulating unit includes a main body movable with respect to the sheet stacking unit and an operating portion having a pressable pressure surface, moved from a first position to a second position by pressing the pressure surface, and pivotably supported on the main body about a pivoting fulcrum positioned above a middle position of the pressure surface, the main body being regulated from moving with respect to the sheet stacking unit when the operating portion is in the first position, and the main body being allowed to move with respect to the sheet stacking unit when the operating portion is in the second position.

摘要： A slide cassette is slidably provided in a main cassette of a sheet cassette. When a sheet with a size larger than that of a sheet which may be stored in the main cassette is stored, the slide cassette is sled and moved to extend the sheet cassette. There is provided a fixing portion which may fix the slide cassette and the main cassette in a state in which the sheet cassette is in a shortened or an extended state by sliding the slide cassette. The fixing portion releases the fixing by an operation in which the slide cassette is sled in a shortening direction or extending direction.

摘要： A media restraint for a removable media tray and slidably operable without the use of a pinching force. The media restraint slidably positionable on a track in a removable media tray and is operable without pinching. A latching plunger in the media restraint is biased into engagement with a track provided in the removable media tray and is moved by a rack and pinion mechanism to a released position allowing the media restraint to be moved along the track. The media restraint is operable by a finger of the user applying a downward force to the media restraint to release the plunger from the track and allowing the media restraint to be moved along the track. Upon removal of the downward force, a biasing member reengages the plunger with the track.

The pair of side-fences are arranged slidable in a width direction orthogonal to a conveying direction of the sheet so as to mutually approach/separate on the manual bypass tray. The restricting members are arranged attachable to/detachable from the pair of side-fences. Each of the restricting members includes a first engaging part and a preventive portion. The first engaging part is engaged with the manual bypass tray to restrict slide of each of the pair of side-fence in the width direction. The preventive portion is arranged so as to be separated upwardly from the manual bypass tray to prevent the sheet on the manual bypass tray from uplifting.
