摘要:
The invention relates to a method and a device for arranging sheets in an overlapping position in a transfer unit arranged between a first processing station and a second processing station following the first processing station in a transport direction of the sheets. The sheets to be overlapped are transported from the first processing station to the transfer unit, in a transport plane and each individually lying behind one another. A respective rear, in the transport direction, edge of the sheets coming from the first processing station, is raised relative to the transport plane exclusively by the use of blown air, and a second subsequent sheet is slid under the rear edge of the respective preceding first sheet.

An object of the present invention is to propose a computerized control device and a computer-implemented method for speed regulation during delivery of printed products to stacking devices which do not have at least some of the disadvantages of the known systems. It is in particular an object of the present invention to propose a computerized control device and a computer-implemented method for regulating the speed of a conveyor for delivering printed products to stacking devices which enable flexible production of stacks of different sizes.

The invention relates to a sheet guide element for use in an apparatus for transporting sheets by means of a gripper system having at least two grippers spaced apart from each other and a sheet guide surface defined by the sheet guide element. Here, the sheet guide element is provided with depressions in the sheet guide surface, running parallel to the transport direction, at least in some sections, in order at least partially to accommodate the grippers, so that the sheet guide surface described by the sheet guide element in the transport direction runs, at least in some sections, at the same height as the movement path of the sheet leading edge fixed in the gripper system.

In order to package flat objects (1) with the aid of a quasi-endless packaging material web, the packaging material web is placed around a row (4) of the objects (1), in which these objects are conveyed one after the other and in an interspaced manner, whereupon longitudinal seams are made in the packaging material web and transversal seams are made between the objects (1) whereby separating the packaged objects from one another. In contrast to prior art packaging methods during which the row is formed before the packaging material web is fed thereto, the invention provides that the row is directly formed on the packaging material web (2) during which the objects are, by acceleration, separated out from a supply stream (3), in which they are fed while overlapping one another, and directly placed upon or pushed onto the packaging material web (2). Forming the row (4) directly on the packaging material web (2) eliminates additional conveying steps whereby shortening the entire required conveyor lines and rendering stabilizing means for stabilizing the objects (1) during conveyance unnecessary thus leading to very compact and simple packaging devices. The packaging method is particularly suited for packaging objects that consist of a number of stacked printed products or other flat articles.

An air delivery device and printing or coating machinery using the same. In one configuration, the air delivery device is an air knife that cooperates with a printing device such as a printing press, coating machine or the like. In a particular configuration, the air knife is situated adjacent a set of cylinders in the printing device such that upon a sheet or related piece of printed substrate being put in an air flowpath created by the air knife, one or more operations can be performed on the still wet printed or coated sheet to minimize the chance of contact of the wet sheet surface with sheet delivery or related components. Examples of such operations may include turning, bending or folding the sheet, as well as drying the ink or coating placed on the sheet by the printing machinery.

摘要:
A printing machine has side frames and a printing machine drive. A paper sheet guiding cylinder is mounted in the side frames of the printing machine, is drivingly connected to the printing machine drive and has an axis. The paper sheet guiding cylinder includes a cylindrical casing and side walls with through holes formed therein. The paper sheet guiding cylinder has a rotatably mounted radial ventilator being coaxial with the axis of the paper sheet guiding cylinder for supplying blowing air into the paper sheet guiding cylinder and for deflecting the blowing air inside the paper sheet guiding cylinder towards the cylindrical casing. The radial ventilator has end surfaces communicating with the ambient air through the holes and ventilator blades being disposed concentrically about the axis of the paper sheet guiding cylinder and extending along the paper sheet guiding cylinder. A drive for the paper sheet guiding cylinder has adjustable speed and is independent of the paper sheet guiding cylinder.

This conveyor device for transferring freshly printed sheets from a printing machine to a stack or to another printing machine, comprises a first chain clips system movable continuously and adapted to hold with its clips the leading edge of the sheet. This first system comprises a rectilinear path section along which a second system of chain clips is provided, the clips of this second system, disposed in the same transport plane as those of the first system, being adapted to grip the trailing edge of each sheet as it penetrates this section, and to subsequently stretch the sheet tautly by accomplishing a slight backward movement in relation to the clips of the first system, and to hold the sheet taut throughout its travel through this section. This device is applicable notably to a drying station of a machine for printing sheets according to the direct plate printing process and is also adapted to turn the sheets.
