摘要： The present disclosure relates to a handrail or support assembly for a stairway. More particularly, this disclosure describes a slidable holder or carrier automatically movable along the length of the handrail or support assembly to lift or carry objects for a user from one end of the stairway to another. In one illustrative embodiment, the assembly may include a handrail or support attached to a wall. A trolley assembly may be placed within the handrail or support and slidable along the length the handrail or support. An arm or extension may be coupled to the trolley assembly and connected to a carrier or holder. An actuator may slide or move the trolley assembly up and down the handrail or support assembly. Through the system described above, cargo may be lifted from one level to another level automatically.

摘要： A lift apparatus is disclosed. Particularly, a lift apparatus may comprise a support frame and a platform movably coupled to the support frame. Further, the platform may comprise at least one roller and a transmission connected to the at least one roller of the assembly, wherein rotation of the at least one roller causes the platform to move relative to the support frame. In another aspect of the present invention, a lift apparatus may include a telescoping platform. The present invention also contemplates a method of moving a wheelchair lift. Particularly, a wheelchair may be positioned such that at least one wheel of the wheelchair contacts a drive mechanism of a platform or a telescoping platform that are positioned at an initial position. Further, the at least one wheel of the wheelchair may be rotated to cause the platform or the telescoping platform to move relative to their initial positions.

摘要： A stairway wheelchair lift includes a stationary motor drive unit, a rail assembly extending along the stairway and a mobile platform movable along the rail. A flexible drive member, such as a chain or cable, within the rail assembly, is driven by the motor drive unit and is connected to the mobile platform to move the platform in either direction along the rail. The mobile platform is adapted to support and transport a wheelchair-bound passenger during use, and to fold upwardly out of the way of the stairway when the lift is not in use. An automatically actuated brake mechanism stops further movement of the mobile platform when the speed of the platform relative to the rail exceeds a predetermined threshold, and a plurality of safety sensing switches prevent operation of the lift in the presence of obstructions along the stairway or other unsafe conditions.

摘要： The invention deals with a stairlift. An endless tubular guide track 1, 2, 3 comprises two parallel rails 1, 2 one above the other and two connecting parts 3. A series of transmission elements 5 may move inside the guide track and a toothed wheel 12, driven by a motor, can engage via a groove 4 in at least the top rail 1 with an aperture 9 in each transmission element 5. A carrying platform 13 is connected to carriage 14 whose top end is attached to a roller 19 which moves inside the top rail 1, and whose bottom end is conducted relative to the outer surface of the bottom rail 2. In order to improve the stability of the carriage during the negotiation of bends, the carriage consists of a parallelogram of vertical bars 15 and crossbars 16, said crossbars 16 being hingedly connected with the vertical bars 15 about a vertical and about a horizontal axis, and the carrying platform 13 being hingedly connected with two points 26 of the crossbars 16 located more or less directly above one another.

摘要： A combined stairway and power lift installable as a unit between upper and lower levels and including a fluid-powered lifting platform propelled along the stairs over an underlying pressure sensing mat extending beyond the approaches to the stairs and operable to disable the power to the lift and lock the lift stationary whenever and so long as a weight or pressure remains on the mat. Extendable and retractable barriers crosswise on the transverse edges of the lift must be held positively in a barricading position while the lift is en route between levels. The power system includes devices automatically operable to accelerate and decelerate the lift smoothly and shocklessly between zero and full speed while approaching and departing from a floor level as well as safety equipment for safeguarding against travel of the lift under all unsafe contingencies.
