Abstract:
A beverage dispensing system includes separate valves for controlling the flow rate of a diluent and a concentrate. Various concentrates of different viscosities can be used and the selected concentrate is identified. The flow rate of the concentrate is determined based on temperature and pressure and on information related to the identified concentrate. The valves are controlled so that the concentrate and diluent reach target flow rates. The target flow rates satisfy a target ratio of diluent to concentrate. If the actual flow rates cannot reach the target flow rates, then the target flow rates are modified to satisfy the target ratio. The structure of the concentrate valve is designed to accommodate proportional metering of any one of the various concentrates.
Abstract:
The present invention comprises a valve providing for the dispensing of two liquids at a desired ratio. The valve includes first and second liquid flow body assemblies releasably securable to a nozzle body assembly. Each liquid flow body assembly is securable to a source of liquid and includes flow sensing means and flow regulating means. A control receives inputs from the flow sensing means and regulates the operation of the flow regulating means to provide for the dispensing of the two liquids from the nozzle body assembly at a predetermined ratio.
Abstract:
A low cost, multiflavor, compact, versatile, convertible beverage dispenser that can be installed in any one of several different orientations so as to be able to fit in almost any available space. This dispenser can operate frontways or sideways and has a dispense module that is separable from a refrigeration module and that can go on top of a counter while the refrigeration module goes below. This dispenser can be used with either figals or bag-in-box and can be easily modified to dispense different numbers of beverages. When used with bag-in-box the dispenser includes built-in syrup pumps. The dispenser can also be used with a separate, additional narrower dispense module, when the built-in dispense module is too wide for a particular installation.
Abstract:
A multiflavor beverage dispenser comprises a microprocessor system for controlling the ratio of diluent to concentrate of a post-mix beverage. The system includes a compact flow rate control module for selectively controlling the flow rates of liquids in a plurality of flow passages leading to nozzle assemblies of the dispenser. Each flow rate control module includes a single stepper motor connected to a rotary spool valve for selectively controlling the flow rate of the liquids. The microprocessor system utilizes variable reference signals which are ramped to approximately correspond to the actual flow rate of the liquid towards a target in order to reduce overshoot values of the flow rates. A scaling function is provided by the microprocessor system to adjust target flow rates between pours in order to achieve consistent controlled ratios of the beverage being dispensed.
Abstract:
A regulating valve has a dome, a discharge sheet and a flow deflector. The dome has a base and a circumferential wall. The discharge sheet and the flow deflector are set in the dome in sequence. A discharge portion, a cold water portion, a hot water portion and a warm water portion are set on the base. A discharge slot, a cold water slot, a hot water slot and a warm water slot are set on the discharge sheet correspondingly. A guide slot is extended outwards from the center of the circle on the surface of the flow deflector. The end point of the center of the guide slot is set correspondingly to the discharge slot. When the flow deflector is rotated, there may occur either of a water shutdown state, or a hot, lukewarm, warm, chilly or cold water discharge state, enabling to switch water discharge efficiently.

Abstract:
The present invention is a valve that provides for automatic and accurate fluid dispensing of two fluids at a predetermined ratio. The valve is designed to be easily assembled and disassembled by hand without the need for hand tools, and includes a diluent flow body and a concentrate flow body releasably securable to a common nozzle body portion. The diluent and concentrate flow bodies each define a flow channel and each include a first end for connection to sources of diluent and concentrate respectively, and an opposite end for fluid connection with the nozzle body. The diluent body flow channel includes a flow sensor connected to a micro-controller for sensing the flow rate of the diluent. The concentrate body flow channel includes a further flow sensor for sensing the flow rate of the concentrate. Stepper motors are secured to both the diluent and concentrate bodies and each operates a linear rod extending there through and through a flow regulator. The position of the end of each shaft end relative to a central bore of each flow regulator permits adjustment of the resultant flow rate of the corresponding liquid. The control therefore operates each stepper in accordance with the sensed flow rate of each corresponding flow sensor whereby the flow rate of each liquid can be adjusted as is required.
Abstract:
The assembly of the present invention comprises a liquid dispensing device having conduit means for delivering liquids from a storage chamber to a mixing chamber, from which the liquid product is dispensed, and valve means incorporated in each conduit. The assembly further comprises a flow meter for each liquid which operates to produce an output signal proportional to the quantity of liquid flowing through the conduit. A control means receives the output signals and operates on detecting that flow of one liquid exceeds a predetermined amount, by closing the flow control valve associated with that liquid. Upon detecting that the proper proportion is achieved, the control means signals the valve to re-open.
Abstract:
A high diluent to concentrate volumetric ratio post-mix drink dispenser includes a mixer and a nozzle housing. The mixer defines a mixing pathway adapted to receive a diluent flow from a diluent source and a concentrate pathway adapted to receive a concentrate flow from a concentrate source. The concentrate pathway communicates with the mixing pathway to deliver concentrate therein. The mixing pathway manipulates the diluent flow therein to decrease the pressure thereof, thereby creating a low pressure region at the concentrate pathway that promotes introduction of the concentrate into the diluent for mixing therewith. The nozzle housing couples with the mixer such that the nozzle housing receives mixed diluent and concentrate from the mixing pathway and delivers the mixed diluent and concentrate therefrom.
Abstract:
An alcoholic beverage forming apparatus operable to dispense an alcoholic beverage having a desired flavor, proof, temperature, and volume mixes water and alcohol with a flavor medium to form an alcoholic beverage having a desired flavor that may be dispensed from the apparatus. The apparatus includes a capsule holder, a water supply reservoir and an alcohol supply reservoir. The reservoirs are operable to respectively supply water and alcohol to a mixing manifold of the apparatus to such that the water and alcohol are combined in the mixing manifold to form an alcoholic beverage mixture which is subsequently mixed with a flavor medium contained in an interior of a beverage capsule. A dispenser is operable to dispense an alcoholic beverage therefrom during operation of the alcoholic beverage forming apparatus.
