摘要： A hydraulic device for producing a to-and-fro movement of a lever connected to a double-acting piston/cylinder unit comprises a pressure fluid distributor including a control piston for alternately feeding pressure fluid to one or the other side of the piston in the unit to move the lever alternately in opposite directions. A hydraulically actuatable control device for controlling the distributor includes a reciprocable piston member movable in a cylinder and a motion transmitting member in contact with the control piston of the distributor to transmit motion thereto. The piston member has a central large diameter section between two reduced diameter sections and the motion transmitting member is in contact with the surface of the piston member so as to reciprocate transversely in the cylinder when the piston member moves relative to the motion transmitting member between two end positions. The control device also includes an independently actuatable single-acting piston movable into a position where it holds the piston member with its large diameter section registering with the motion transmitting member.

摘要： The single-pass hide skiving machine includes a supporting structure (1) which rotatably supports a motorized cylinder (2). A first oscillating frame (3) rotatably supports a support cylinder (4) which is arrangeable in a working position below and slightly forward of the motorized cylinder. A second oscillating frame (8) rotatably supports a first bladed cylinder (9) which is arrangeable in a working position slightly rearward of the support cylinder. Arranged above and slightly forward of the motorized cylinder is a second bladed cylinder (31). Additionally, a contrast cylinder (18), kinematically connected to the support cylinder (4) by rollers (17), is movable into a working position between the support cylinder (4) and the second bladed cylinder (31). A hide is initially fed through the motorized cylinder and support cylinder and then through the first bladed cylinder (9) and the support cylinder (4) to effect the skiving. Selected skiving of the hide is possible by movement of the contrast cylinder (18) into its working position.

摘要： A hide skiving machine adapted to skive a hide in one pass constituted by a frame which supports, at its sides, a rotatable support cylinder upon which the hide is fed and is held in place by a slidable presser roller. A lower oscillating frame having a rotating lower blade cylinder and an upper oscillating frame having a rotating upper blade cylinder are furthermore provided which skive the hide. The oscillating frames are independently movable between a raised non-working position and a lowered working position by respective actuators. Each blade cylinder is provided with a sharpening assembly which maintains the blade sharpness for more effective skiving. An adjustable, flexible front shield and a feed table are furthermore provided. The oscillating frames which support the blade cylinders are also provided with play recovery elements which help maintain the position of the blade cylinders with respect to the hide. The support cylinder can also be provided with supporting elements which allow for the inclination of the axis of the support cylinder relative to the axes of the blade cylinders, thereby providing more effective sharing of hides with variable thicknesses.

摘要： A tanning machine wherein a pressure roller urges one side of a hide or skin against the blades of an elongated rotary severing device has a grinding unit which treats the blades of the severing device and is mounted in the frame of the tanning machine. The grinding unit has elongated straight first guide members which are fixedly mounted in the frame and extend in parallelism with the axis of the severing device, a first carriage which is reciprocable along the first guide members by a motor through the medium of an endless chain and carries second guide members extending radially of the severing device, a second carriage which is reciprocable along the second guide members and supports a grinding tool, and a cam and follower arrangement which moves the second carriage along the second guide members in response to reciprocation of the first carriage along the first guide members. The cam is preferably an elongated template which is mounted on the first guide members and has a cam face facing away from the severing device. The follower is a roller which is mounted on the second carriage and is biased against the cam face by a spring which reacts against the first carriage and bears against the second carriage.

摘要： De-fleshing apparatus comprises two fleshing machines arranged face-to-face, with a transfer conveyor between the machines. The conveyor is reversibly driven, and is arranged so that by movement in one direction a hide is transported from a first of the two machines to the second machine, half the hide having been de-fleshed in the first machine, and by movement in the opposite direction the hide is transported from the second machine as the other half of the hide is de-fleshed in the second movement. Each machine comprises a feed roller arranged to assist in drawing the hide through the machine while a cutter operates to de-flesh the hide, and the conveyor comprises an endless band which is mounted on the two feed rollers and driven thereby along its length in each direction.
