摘要： A multi-station machine for marginal roughing and toe scouring of shoe bottoms has a turret arrangement, carrying a plurality of shoe supports. At a marginal roughing station two rotary roughing tools operate along opposite marginal portions, during movement of the tools lengthwise of the shoe bottom respectively in a first and a return direction, the shoe support being movable heightwise and widthwise of the shoe bottom so that each tool follows the shoe bottom margin contour. The tools can also pivot about a horizontal axis to maintain their plane normal to the shoe bottom portion being operated upon. In-machine brush grinding is provided, using rotating stones, the speed of rotation being about twice that of the roughing brushes, and the direction of rotation such that the peripheries of stone and brush, at the point of contact, move in the same direction. At a toe scouring station a single abrasive roll is movable lengthwise and heightwise of the shoe bottom under the control of a cam the angular disposition of which is set according to the shoe bottom contour. For controlling the movements of both the tools and shoe support at the marginal roughing station, servomotors are provided under the control of computer control means which supplies control signals thereto in accordance with a programmed instruction.

摘要： A device to move the sharpening grinding wheels in a leather splitting machine close to and away from a cutting blade. The grinding wheels are rotatably supported on the end portions of respective arms the other ends of which are pivoted on a carriage. The carriage, slidably movable on guiding rods, through an actuator, moves the grinding wheels from a position in which the latter are engaged on the bevel of the cutting blade to a position in which they are not in contact with the blade. In order to bring the grinding wheels back to the operative position on the cutting blade bevel, spring means is provided between the carriage and a bar rigidly connected to the splitting machine.

摘要： A tanning machine wherein a pressure roller urges one side of a hide or skin against the blades of an elongated rotary severing device has a grinding unit which treats the blades of the severing device and is mounted in the frame of the tanning machine. The grinding unit has elongated straight first guide members which are fixedly mounted in the frame and extend in parallelism with the axis of the severing device, a first carriage which is reciprocable along the first guide members by a motor through the medium of an endless chain and carries second guide members extending radially of the severing device, a second carriage which is reciprocable along the second guide members and supports a grinding tool, and a cam and follower arrangement which moves the second carriage along the second guide members in response to reciprocation of the first carriage along the first guide members. The cam is preferably an elongated template which is mounted on the first guide members and has a cam face facing away from the severing device. The follower is a roller which is mounted on the second carriage and is biased against the cam face by a spring which reacts against the first carriage and bears against the second carriage.
