    摘要: A multi-carrier, zonal weaving system and method of manufacturing a zonal woven material is provided. The multi-carrier system includes a first weft yarn, a second weft yarn, and one or more intermediate warp yarns for wrapping by the first and second weft yarns. The zonal weaving method includes receiving a first weft yarn from a first origin via a first shed, wrapping it around one or more zonal warp yarns, and returned to the first weft origin after the first shed upper and lower yarns are exchanged. In further aspects, a second weft yarn is received from a second weft origin via a second shed, wrapped around the same intermediate, zonal warp yarns, and returned to the second weft origin after exchange of the second shed yarns. In one aspect, the first and second weft yarns are interlocked during wrapping of the common warp yarns.

    摘要: This weft insertion system includes at least one rapier (6, 8) provided with weft yarn clamping means (622, 822) for drawing a weft yarn (202) and a reed (2) provided with dents (22) made of a magnetic material. The rapier (6,8) is equipped with magnetic means for exerting an attractive magnetic effort (E, E′) between this rapier and the dents of the reed. The reed (2) advantageously has a variable magnetic permeability along its longitudinal axis (X2). The rapier (6, 8) has a lateral face (8262) oriented towards the reed (2) and the magnetic means have a direction of polarization perpendicular to the direction of travel (X6, X8) of the rapier and secant with this surface (8262).
