摘要: A laundry appliance includes a cabinet having a laundry compartment located inside said cabinet, an exhaust vent extending from the laundry compartment, an exhaust temperature sensor disposed in the exhaust vent generating an exhaust temperature signal, an exhaust humidity sensor disposed in the exhaust vent generating an exhaust humidity signal and an ambient humidity sensor generating an ambient humidity signal. The appliance further includes a display and a controller coupled to the exhaust temperature sensor, the exhaust humidity sensor and the ambient humidity sensor. The controller determines an estimated time remaining for a drying cycle based on the exhaust temperature signal, the exhaust humidity signal and the ambient humidity signal and causes the display to display the estimated time remaining.

A controller is configured to initiate a self-clean cycle and to automatically commence a drying cycle at the conclusion of the self-clean cycle. The drying cycle is based on operation data associated with the drying cycle, such as a predetermined period of time to complete drying or based on a predetermined final humidity of air exhausted from the chamber during the drying cycle.

摘要: A dryer has a drum for laundry items to be dried, a supply air channel, an exhaust air channel, a recirculated air channel branching off therefrom and discharging into the supply air channel upstream of a drum inlet, a blower, a heat pump having a condenser disposed in the supply air channel, an evaporator disposed in the exhaust air channel, a throttle, a compressor, a controller and a heater. The dryer is configured such that moist warm air flows out of the drum in an exhaust air channel part, substantially in the same direction as the supply air in an inlet part of the supply air channel containing the condenser. The process air leaving the drum has a relative air humidity Frel, to which Frelmin≤Frel≤Frelmax applies, wherein Frelmin is a predetermined minimum value and Frelmax is a maximum value of the relative air humidity.

摘要: A duty cycle heating portion of a drying cycle is initiated, in which a heating element of the clothes dryer is cycled on and off. An average baseline value is established for one or more of peak exhaust temperature of exhaust temperature of the clothes dryer or peak evaporation rate of evaporation rate of the clothes dryer. The duty cycle heating portion is continued until a peak delta between current exhaust temperature or the evaporation rate and the average baseline value exceeds a predefined threshold difference. The dryer transitions from the duty cycle heating portion to a continuous heating portion of the drying cycle, in which the heating element of the clothes dryer is continuously powered. The heating element is disengaged responsive to one or more criteria indicating completion of the drying cycle.
