摘要： A hybrid control for a clothes dryer which combines an electromechanical timer and a microprocessor. The electromechanical timer has a plurality of switches connected to a plurality of input ports of the microprocessor. The timer switches are driven by a plurality of cams such that the plurality of switches open and close in response to the cams at predetermined angular positions of the timer. In this manner, the switches provide control input to the electronic circuit for initiating the dry cycle and further provide control input to the electronic circuit during the dry cycle such that the electromechanical timer and the electronic circuit operate together to control the dryer operation. In addition, a sensor supplies a signal to the microprocessor corresponding to the moisture level of the clothes within the drum. If the dryer is operated in an automatic cycle of operation, the microprocessor operates to control operation of the clothes dryer in response to the initial timer position and advances the timer in response to the moisture sensor signal such that cycle status information corresponding to the sensed moisture level is displayed by the position of the timer knob. The microprocessor operates to drive the timer at different speeds depending on the cycle selection and control settings. The duration of the automatic dry cycle is responsive to the moisture level selected, the temperature level selected and the duration of the initial moisture sensing drying period.

摘要： A controller for a washing machine with an alternately reversing drive motor wherein an electromechanical timer interfaces in conventional manner to electrical devices, and also switches line voltage to predetermined ones of a plurality of control lines to provide an encoded signal corresponding to the selected agitator stroke profile. The line voltage on the control lines is shifted to a DC voltage level compatible with a microprocessor that decodes the encoded signal, and then provides high rate control signals that gate high power solid state switches that switch line voltage to the respective stator windings of a permanent split capacitor motor. In such manner, the motor is driven in alternately reversing directions and, by way of a speed reducer, drives the agitator of the washing machine according to the selected stroke profile.

The timer control apparatus includes a timer having a timing motor, a user interface including a setting indicator and option switches, and a delay circuit associated with the timing motor. 摘要： An apparatus and a method for controlling a washing machine. The washing machine control apparatus includes a mechanical timer and a controller including a microcomputer. The mechanical timer has a plurality of cam switches for controlling the steps of washing, rinsing and dehydrating by the washing machine, and the cam switches are actuated so as to open and close a feed water valve and a drain valve and to instruct the control to drive a drive motor according to a selected operation pattern. The controller controls the drive motor and drives a washing tube through an agitating member and includes a memory for storing a plurality of motor operation patterns corresponding to the washing, rinsing and dehydrating steps, so that the drive motor is driven according to an operation pattern controlled by the mechanical timer and stored in the memory of the controller.

The stepping switch selects the appropriate delay in the RC timing circuitry or the proper condition responsive circuit which causes energization of the solenoid to advance the stepping switch to the next position.

摘要： An appliance control circuit particularly adapted for controlling a washing appliance such as a washing machine or a dishwasher is provided. The invention is comprised of a timer interval selector switch including a program cam defining an operational cycle for operation of the washing appliance. A hybrid timer control circuit including an escapement device and a memory and logic circuit is provided for amending advancement of the program cam during operation of the appliance. The escapement device includes a timer interval selector switch in association with the program cam for generating selective binary coded control signals. A binary-coded-decimal to decimal decoder/driver decodes the binary signals into decimal signals which are operatively connected to a plurality of selected capacitance means and an interval timer. The interval time base interval between advancement steps of the program cam is determined by selection of particular capacitance means. The memory and hybrid timer logic control circuit includes program selector switches which may be compared in the logic circuitry with the program cam for selectively rapidly advancing the program cam in accordance with the particular selected program defined by the selector switch.
