    摘要: A grooved rail core piece including a core piece intersection area formed by intersecting grooves as an overflow area. The core piece has two construction profiles with interconnected outer fishing surfaces (22,24) extending in a longitudinal direction. In order to enable the intersection area of the core piece to be renewed in a simple manner, the intersection-point area of the core piece includes an interchangeable insert (36) which is arranged in a recess in an at least positive fit, the recess being defined by the sections of the construction profiles and by the sections of the lining parts (30,32) disposed in the outer fishing surfaces (22, 24), and the insert is fixed by means of at least two wedge elements (38, 40) which can be clamped in the lining parts. The lining parts and the construction profiles are connected by means of at least one clamping element protruding there through in a non-positive fit.

    摘要: An apparatus is provided for moving a movable switch point a selected distance as a result of the throw of a switch machine. The apparatus includes an operating rod connected to and movable by the switch machine and a switch point adjuster mounted directly to the switch point and movable by the operating rod. The switch point adjuster has an elongated housing with a bore provided therethrough, in which the operating rod is disposed through the housing bore. The switch point adjuster also has first and second adjusting nuts that are adjustably secured to the operating rod on opposed sides of the housing, preferably by mated threading. The operating rod is movable bidirectionally through the housing until one of the adjusting nuts contacts the housing. In this way, lost motion of the switch machine may be compensated for. The adjusting nuts preferably have a head portion and a body portion, in which the head portion has a width greater than the width of the body portion. Thus, the head portions of the adjusting nuts are contactable with respective opposed ends of the housing. Alternatively, or in addition, the housing may have an interior ledge provided within the housing bore, and leading edges of the adjusting nuts which are disposable within the housing may contact the interior ledge.

    摘要: A method of joining frogs consisting of wear-resisting austenitic manganese steel casting to rails of carbon steel by welding and with the aid of an interposed connector consisting of austenitic low-carbon steel, characterized in that the connector is first welded to the regular rail or interconnecting rail, particularly by flash-butt welding, that the length of the connector which has been welded to the regular rail is limited to 20 to 25 mm, at most, preferably to 15 to 20 mm, that in a second welding operation the frog consisting of a wear-resisting manganese steel casting is welded to the connector, preferably by flash-butt welding, and that the cooling after the second welding operation is effected at a higher rate than the cooling after the first welding operation.

A cast manganese insert is positioned between toe and heel portions of the wing rails. The long point and short point rails abut the cast manganese insert and are connected to the heel portions of the wing bars. The cast manganese insert has a point filler, a main filler and wing rail extensions and is symmetrical about a longitudinally extending plane so that the insert may be inverted when one side is worn out.
