Abstract:
An animal waste collection device comprising a handle attached at first end of a shaft and a collection member at a second end of the shaft. The collection member comprises a shovel head having two hooks at the rear of the shovel as well as another hook positioned on the shaft. At the rear of the shovel there is a waste container, such as a collection bag. The pet waste is collected on the head of the shovel, the shovel is then rotated vertically such that the waste slides off the rear of the shovel into the waste container such that the user is able to collect and package the waste from a standing position without having to touch the waste directly. When the waste container is full the user rotates the device, unhooks the waste container from the collection member and shovel head and disposes of it.
Abstract:
An animal waste removal and collection system may include a waste removal apparatus with a handle, a blade connected proximate to an end of the handle, and a comb connected proximate to the end of the handle opposite the blade. The waste removal apparatus is configured to be supported on a support surface at a first contact point of the blade with the support surface and at multiple second contact points of the comb with the support surface. The animal waste removal and collection system may also include a waste collection apparatus with another handle and a pan connected proximate to an end of the second handle. The pan includes a base and walls extending upwardly from the base, where one of the walls includes a slot to interface with the blade and another one of the walls includes a second comb to interface with the first comb.
Abstract:
This invention provides hand operated portable devices for grasping and manipulation of objects as well as methods of their use. Embodiments of the devices of the invention comprise two opposing angled jaw members that are operated by a user-controlled trigger through a hinged linkage lever as well as devices that optionally comprise a locking mechanism allowing locking of the jaw members.

Abstract:
A tool for removing and holding dog excrement from both grass, and other non-grass surfaces, comprised of a pole handle at the upper portion and a set of beveled tines and collection pan on the lower end. The handle is connected at the rear of the collection pan at a an angle which aids in placement of the fork in the best possible position for leverage and moving smoothly beneath the feces. The separated beveled tines allow easy penetration of grass or debris beneath the feces, which is moved over the beveled tines and into the collection pan with a slight tip of the fork. The collection pan is formed with raised front, back and sidewalls, which recess the collection pan to hold the gathered feces. The collection pan is capable of containing considerable feces prior to being emptied into an appropriate trash receptacle.
Abstract:
A pet waste vacuum and disposal device is disclosed herein. The device advantageously takes the form of a walking stick fabricated using phosphorescent plastic materials to aid a pet owner taking a pet for a walk at night. The pet waste vacuum and disposal device integrally includes a vacuum which is operable via a button located conveniently on the outside of the walking stick. The pet waste vacuum and disposal device further includes a waste collection compartment adapted to receive a bag. During use, the pet owner positions a mouth of a waste intake over pet waste, activates the vacuum, and the waste is collected inside the bag for clean and sanitary disposal thereof.
Abstract:
An animal waste collecting device for collecting and disposing of animal waste. The animal waste collecting device includes a rigid, elongated handle having a first end and a second end, wherein the first end includes an eyelet thereon so as to allow the elongated handle to be hung from a hook or similar support. The second end is removably secured to a bag and cable tie assembly, wherein the cable tie is configured in a loop and secured to the open upper end of the bag. The bag is used to collect animal waste, wherein the rigidity of the cable tie allows the bag to remain open. The cable tie is pulled through a locking mechanism in order to seal the bag after animal waste has been collected therein. The cable tie assembly is removably secured to the second end of said elongated handle by a clip.
Abstract:
A hand-held gripping device that allows one of a surgeon, a dentist, and an orthodontist to reach interior portions of a person's anatomy, includes a gripping portion having a pair of jaws movable relative to each other between fully clamped and fully opened positions thereof, a handle portion spaced apart from the jaw portion by a bendable central portion that has a hollow, bendable corrugated with at least one cord extending therethrough.
Abstract:
A sifting pick-up device is provided that operates as a combined pick-up tool and sifter. The device comprises an elongated frame, a first jaw member, and a second jaw member. The elongated frame includes a proximal end, a distal end, and a slidable handle therealong. The two jaw members are disposed along the distal end and move relative to one another based on movement of the slidable handle. At least one of the jaw members has a sifting screen jaw surface in which contents secured between the jaws can be separated from granular material. One or both of the jaw members are movable, and in one embodiment the slidable handle is spring biased and is connected to at least one jaw member via one or more cables. The handle controls the position of the jaws, which can be used to pick-up items and sift the same.
Abstract:
A portable apparatus of component parts aligned and detachable from one another in such a way as to allow for sanitary and ergonomic collection, hands-free transportation, and environmentally optimal disposal of pet waste. The apparatus comprises a cylindrical container that when assembled with a removable base and removable lid creates an airtight container enhanced with a disposable, flushable liner that fits in the interior of the waste collection container. The top of the lid incorporates a, telescoping handle, while the underside of the lid incorporates a shovel unit that fits inside the container and is offset and aligned in close proximity to the walls of the container to ensure ample room for both the shovel unit and collected pet waste when the removable lid and base are both attached to temporarily seal the container. The apparatus also comprises a removable base cap that when attached to the base of the closed container creates a compartment separate from the collected pet waste. The apparatus is designed for portability with a clip or tether means for attaching it to the user's articles of clothing or mode of transportation.
