    摘要: An unbalance exciter for a soil compaction device comprises at least two rotatable unbalance masses which are rotatably mounted in opposite directions relative to each other, and at least two rotors. Each of the unbalance masses is coupled to a respective one of the rotors. The at least two unbalance masses and the associated rotors are mounted coaxially relative to each other. A stator is associated with each of the rotors in such a way that each rotor and the associated stator form an electric motor.

    摘要: A vibratory roller is provided with an exciter assembly that need not be lubricated by an oil bath because the exciter gears need not be lubricated. At least an outer ring portion of at least one gear of the exciter assembly is formed from a non-metallic material. In one embodiment, a first gear is a composite gear having an outer toothed ring portion formed from a machined nylon material imbedded with at least one of a heat stabilizer and a lubricant, and a second, mating gear is formed from metal and acts as heat sink for the first gear. In another embodiment, both the first and second gears are composite gears having an outer toothed ring formed from a robust and thermally stable molded polymer. The gears can survive when the roller is operated at least 8 hours at a duty cycle of at least 50% while operating the roller at an ambient temperature of over 38° C. (100° F.) and while the exciter shaft is driven at a velocity of over 2,000 RPM and the exciter housing is subjected to over 31.13 kN (7,000 lbf) of centrifugal forces at a vibrational frequency of over 40 Hz.

The relative rotary position of the imbalance masses can be adjusted relative to one another by at least one rotary oscillating motor having a rotor shaft and a stator housing. The rotor shaft is an integral part of one of the axles, and the rotary position of the stator housing relative to the rotor shaft can be changed. The stator housing has at least one closure lid that is at least partially unreleasably coated with a slide alloy, for radial and axial bearing of the rotor shaft. At least one shaft seal is disposed between the rotor shaft and stator housing. The seal is hydraulically biased and provided with a support element.

    摘要: A vibratory exciter apparatus can be interchangeably connected to a variety of diverse vibratory compaction and other earth-working vibratory tools and includes a vibration-isolating connection link to tool carriers of varying sizes. A vibratory exciter housing is isolated from the connector link and from the carrying tool to which the link is attached by a primary elastomer isolator group which is, in turn, protected from damaging overload in a vertical downward direction by a secondary elastomeric isolator sheet and from damaging vertical load in an upward direction by a tertiary elastomeric isolator sheet. The connecting link utilizes adjustable bushing assemblies to accommodate dimensional differences from one boom manufacturer to another. The vibratory exciter unit includes heat-reducing shrouds for the rotary eccentric weights.
